Just Amazing!!!!!!!!
Firstly I took a bit of a risk buying these headphones as I couldn’t find much info about them. There are a couple of non-English YouTube reviews and one review here [...] which is very positive. The look of these swayed me as they don't look like any in ears I ever saw and look like amazing quality which they indeed are. They are not sharp at all and made so well you just want to keep looking at every millimetre :) I mainly use these for my htc ONE and yes they match perfectly. I previously tried the soundmagic e10 as was trying to save some cash but when it comes to sound that little extra goes a long way. As soon as I put these in I felt like I was in the moment as the clarity is just stunning!!! Bass is not muffled and totally clear and most importantly for me not over the top like beats or other bass heavy headphones / in ears. For me these are perfectly balanced and fit well inside my ear due to the odd looking double rubber ear plug... I was sceptical at first but the buds fit perfectly. If I am really being picky the position of the cable where it connects to the metal in ear parts are a little too close to ear when inserted and after little while bend but I have bent them right back and they flex very well so expect they will last. You really can't go wrong here as they look amazing and sound superb!!!!!

i loved the sound
i've been using this earphones for less than two months. i loved the sound, but suddenly one side stopped working. not a wire issue because i can still hear some sound coming of it, but with no power. i would had expect a better product as it has good reviews. i've searched in the web and found that some other people had this same issue.

Sounds pretty good to me...
I have never paid £100 for in-ear headphones before so did not know what to expect, They sound very good to me - a nice range of clear bright sounds from sharp clear treble - warm mid tones - and through to solid bass. They are very solidly built as I would expect from Yamaha. The speakers themselves are solid and seem high quality. The cord for the ear-phones is slightly thick/hard rubber, has no cord management system as such, and it is a bit annoying as it will not lay flat, hang straight or allow itself to be smoothed in any way. This is very disappointing in phones of this price The sponge ear buds do a good job of noise isolating, but the speaker housings being fairly large means that the medium ones are very snug in the ear; and the smaller ones are hardly cushioned at all, and are a bit tight to fit onto the speaker housings.I imagine only a giant could ever use the large sponge collars! These are minor points though - the important points are that the build quality and the sound do seem like what I would expect from Yamaha.Overall I am happy with my purchase.

Good sound quality but short-lived - suspect quality issues
I was really pleased with these earphones. Sound quality was good for both music and speech. However, the volume on the left channel dropped to a whisper after just over a year's use. There is no crackling and the sound is continuous when I move the cable, so I suspect a problem with the speaker rather than a loose or detached wire. I have Yamaha sound bars for my TVs and I'm very pleased with them, so it was disappointing that my Yamaha earphones failed after such a short time. I'm someone who looks after my stuff, so it's not like they had any rough treatment. Reading other Amazon reviews and hi-fi forums, it seems that other people have had a similar experience, some people multiple times as they have had their EPH100s replaced by the dealer. I'm looking for a replacement now but I have lost confidence in Yamaha as a result of this experience, so they won't be on the shortlist.

Not brilliant
Very robust but not much better in sound quality than my previous £20 set of Philips ear phones. Over priced for what they are.

Rediscovering music
Got these after careful consideration and a lot of reading. Compared them on FiiO X1 to SoundMagic PL11, RHA MA450i and Brainwavz M3. I've got to say - I'm impressed - PL11 and MA450i don't even come close to the quality of these, so I won't talk about these two. Closer comparison can be done with M3, as their sound is a bit similar, but to a certain extent as well. It's a well known fact, that M3 have got superb soundstage compared to other earphones in this price range. However, EPH-100 go above and beyond with enjoy-it-all-right-here-soundstage, separation of instruments, quality and clarity of everything that they produce. I believe they would be a great studio model, as you can hear all the good and all the bad of a certain recording. Highs and mids are close and presented for only one purpose - for you to enjoy. There is just enough of bass as well. After using them for only a couple of days I found myself discovering sounds I've never heard before in tracks I've been listening to for years. For that experience alone these are worth getting.

Perfect
I took a punt on these after having read some great reviews, and I'm really impressed. They have a clear, balanced sound -- revealing but not harsh, great bass response but never boomy, great mids. I use them along with a Dragonfly Red on my phone, and they sound almost as good as my home headphone/amp kit. Can't believe Yamaha pulled this off, given their lack of reputation for headphones. Best in-ear I've heard, and I've heard a lot.

Will buy them again
Silky smooth bass and good midrange and not too piercing highs. I can listen to them for hours. Like all in-ear headphones you need a good seal...these come with 3 different size ends, hopefully one will work for you. I've had them for a couple of years now...very happy.
