these are imperative if you have a smooth bathtub
these are imperative if you have a smooth bathtub. I was using the various non-slip bathmaths, but got tired of constantly replacing them when they'd start to mold. I followed suggestions that were left by various reviewers. I bought 2 sets for my regular sized bathtub; used 3/4 of the 2nd set. So I have a few extra pieces if any of them start to peel off. Cleaned the bathtub with a natural bathtub scrub. Then cleaned it with rubbing alcohol to remove any remaining residue. Allowed it to air dry for at least 30 minutes. I arranged the stickers in the design that I wanted on the tub floor and then applied all stickers. I used a hair dryer to give warm up the adhesive to give is extra staying power as I continued to rub the stickers onto the tub floor. The bathtub was used 16 hours later for it's first shower since application. I've had them in my bathtub for a few months now. None of the stickers have come up yet. They initially felt grainy and rough on my feet, but I think I've gotten used to them as I don't notice them anymore. The bathtub is used daily, sometimes more than once a day.

Fantastic protection
We purchased 2 packages of these which I would imagine that most people with a standard size tub would also need. Following the advice of another reviewer for this product I cleaned the tub, rinsed well with hot water, washed with 70 percent rubbing alcohol and then used a hair dryer to accelerate the complete drying process. Then I open the packages and removed the little centers from each decal. After that I was able to place them in the design I wanted in the tub, without removing the backing yet. Then, one by one, I peeled the backing paper (you may need a razor or another sharp object to help you start the paper peeling process) and placed them in their respective spot. A word of caution, make certain you place it properly the first time, the adhesive is VERY strong! Once each one was placed down, I rolled something hard over each decal (you could use just about anything hard and round: aluminum tube, etc.) to make certain every spot of the decal was pressed firmly. You can barely tell that the decals are there when showering, unlike those crazy bath-mats they have out now that can really hurt your feet. We've had these installed now since July 2010 and I'm writing this review on October 5, 2010 and the decals are still doing fantastic! They haven't yellowed, peeled or anything yet. Of course we took the time to read AND follow the directions about properly using oil products (bubble bath) with these pure white decals.I definitely recommend these!

Great To Use Solo Or In Combination With Other Decals For Great Patterns
We love these. Ordered them along with a package of frogs. My husband made a nice random design all over the bottom of our shower so the whole shower floor has skid proof protection. I feel much safer now when rinsing soup out of my hair or rinsing off moisturizing body wash. That slippery feeling under foot is not comfortable for a senior. Each one of these flowers comes apart into two pieces...a smaller flower shape inside a larger one. It's a good deal and works well if you follow instructions. Be sure to properly clean your tub or shower floor and let it dry completely. Also let these decals cure for 24 to 48 hours before you get them wet. Just don't be impatient. Do it right and it should work well for you.If these decals don't hold up for a reasonable period of time, I'll come back and edit my review. If you don't see an edit, you know they're still working.

Good, nostalgic product.
Alright, like most of you, I saw these and thought, "Hey, those are just like the ones my aunts/uncles, grandparents had." I was looking to add some grip to a bathtub that was once textured but most of the texture has worn off. I also thought these looked just like the ones my grandmother had in her bathtub and well, I remember those working very well. I'm being a little generous in my rating. I put two packages of these in the tub losing its texture. It was properly cleaned and prepared. I turned the water on, everything was fine. Went back two hours later and 5 had pulled up. It's not the product's fault. Seems the slope of the tub causes water to linger in one area even after being drained. That's also the same area all 5 that pulled up were in. I'm only taking one star off because I got them to stick back and then they came up again. The amount of texture in that area couldn't be more than 5%. I don't think these should come up just from ponding water. What if someone wants to take a bath? Otherwise, they work good and are just as cute as you remember them. The sticky factor is very good on them. But I tested a few that hadn't came up and they were easily removed by just rubbing a wet washcloth on them. That's also why I removed a star. Water is causing them to come up. If used in a tub with no texture, that wouldn't be a problem. The texture is allowing water to get under them. But it's a bath tub. You have to clean it. You have to let water into it and I'd like to see them be a little less easy to remove.

Not very obnoxious and they work
These stickers blend in pretty well with a white tub. You can certainly see them but they are not obnoxious like so many other non-slip stickers you can buy. The adhesive works great. They can be adjusted after you put them down, but they don't come off in the water. The small flower in the center pops out, leaving hollow large flowers and solid small flowers. In case it is not obvious, you must start with a bone dry tub. The package says not to get them wet for a minimum of 4 hours but they recommend 24 hours. I didn't take a chance and gave it the full 24 hours. I haven't had any come loose at all and the non-slip coating seems pretty effective. I haven't tried pulling them up so I can't say how easy they would be to remove if you changed your mind. Two packages is the perfect amount for a standard sized tub. I applied them in a random pattern (big ones first, then small ones in the gaps) rather than trying to get them perfectly spaced out in a repeating pattern like they show on the package.
