Pulltap's Genuine Classic 500 Double-Hinged Lever Waiters Wine Corkscrew Bottle Opener (Negro)

Finally a GENUINE Pulltap’s Corkscrew! I have purchased too many “genuine Pulltap’s” lately only to receive a fake. Mind you, they have been pretty good and heavy feeling, but they all went back. This one is the real deal, and I am happy to have it.

I like this cork screw, so easy to use. The Teflon coated screw goes in and out effortlessly. The pivot makes easy two step cork extraction. Highly recommended product

It's expensive but it's worth it. Pro grade corkscrew. Very attractive and functional. I like the two-step and the ergonomics of the foil cutter. Feels good in a pocket too.

I've had a lot of corkscrews over the years, and have a strong preference for the double-hinged "waiter" style. For their price range, these are the best option. They have a classic look and work very well. If I have any complaint, it's that they feel a bit light and thin as compared to some of the pricier options on the market. But if you're looking for the best above-average option, this is it.

I just got my Pulltaps 500 in black. This thing smells horrible...like strong aftershave! I ran it through the dishwasher. Still bad. I boiled it on the stove. Slight improvement. There's an open hollow space behind the handle. I thought maybe something got trapped behind there which is why I decided to boil it. Right now I'm sitting on my couch and it's on the armrest about a foot away. I can still smell it! All I can figure is that it's the paint or soft plastic handle piece. Unfortunately it's going back as I liked the simplicity of the design. Having said that, it's trickier to use than my old Dreizack from Germany. After many years, I finally wore its threads out. I can't find Dreizack but there's a MONOPOL corkscrew, also German, that appears identical. Wish I had seen that before. The cork ejection feature works great on that design.

Cheaply made.

Poor quality and likely a fake. The blade is loose and wobbly, and the hinge doesn't open cleanly. I bought this opener and the Truepull (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007LOXKN2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), and the Truepull is much higher quality at 1/4th the price.
