A great laptop, very well designed with a nice software suite.
An incredible beast! The computer is very powerful, all software packages and specia offers add a lot of value. I ordered in the UK as this model is not available in the Netherlands. The experience was smooth and the price better than in mainland Europe, even after import tax. The ad mentions a 120Hz screen, it is not - it's 60Hz. I use this computer to replace my desktop (AMD 5950x, RTX 4070 Super 32Gb). Very happy with my purchase, it can do many things and it is so beautiful.

Powerful but annoyingly glitchy.
Very powerful with a robust case and amazing Wifi 7 connectability, but also unacceptably glitchy. Issues like screen flickering off and on fairly frequently, complete lock-ups from time to time and an annoyingly twitchy touchpad that altering the sensitivity doesn't help. I've kept up to date with hardware and bios updates and this has improved it a bit from when it was out of the box, but I suspect the bundled Asus packages are conflicting with Windows 11 here and there, particularly on the power options. On battery power it's impossible to get it to do what you tell it to do with regards to powering off the monitor, going to sleep etc. I disabled the touchscreen because it's not much use on a laptop anyway and leaving it on allows you to make selections from, or close, browser tabs etc inadvertently due to the very thin bezel when tilting the screen. I also disabled the 'wheel' on the touchpad because it's so easy to activate by accident, turning on an annoying little white LED, and tricky to turn off again using a gesture. If you're going to buy one of these my advice would be to do a clean Windows 11 install to dispense with the bundled stuff from Asus and see how it performs after updating everything. That's what I wish I had done and if it had still had the problems that it does now I would have sent it back.

Great specs and build but beware screen has no anti-reflective coating - Extremely reflective
(64GB 2TB SSD RTX4070 ver)Three stars because of the spec, build quality but returned after 10 days for the following reasons:1 - Either froze, BOD (twice) nearly every time I used it - all of which needed a power off if the m/c hadn't already initiated a restart. All restart problems were when I used GPU intensive Adobe, DXO apps or inking with the pen - I'm inclined to believe that I was unlucky and had a m/c with faulty GPU.2 - I did contact Asus support about the screen - (It's like a mirror) - to see if it was faulty but then it started freezing/ BODs so didn't pursue support with them as would have been "check all updates/BIOS firmware up to date" - which they were.3 - Many users on Reddit reported constant problems with this laptop and with Asus in general but some individuals reported complete reliability.4 - I did consider getting a replacement but for a 2.5k plus laptop the screen is far too reflective for me and at 500 nits isn't enough to work outside. I purchased to replace an ageing mbp 16in but incredibly the screen on the Apple m/c is better than that on the Proart 7606WI. While windows 11 is a decent Os, windows updates are still fragile and you tend to have separate OEM updates and Windows updates.Positives - great build quality, keyboard, quiet, some useful ASUS software for creatives, though tbh Adobe firefly is far better at image generation than whatever gen Ai `MuseTree uses. Trackpads or touchpads as they're know on Windows never seem to work as well as Apple trackpads. It's clear why Apple feel they can demand their inflated prices - while in some ways Windows 11 is a better and far more customisable/ feature rich Os, MacOS is more robust and reliable and basically just works. As soon as you turn on a new Mac and post setup gives you the option to learn all about your new device. With the ASUS there was no hand-holding. You have to dig around the m/c to get to know all the OEM features - far more time consuming.I've used Macs for over 10 years so my experience had to be pretty much seamless to switch and I would have probably kept the ASUS if it was fault free but on reflection I think I would have regretted that decision due to the mirror-like screen.Note, this is my experience with the Proart 7606WI and as I said previously, there are many users on Reddit that are really happy with this laptop!

Completely failed after two weeks
Bought this laptop as it seemed to have everything I wanted: powerful CPU, discrete graphics, OLED screen, all metal body, small form factor...Unfortunately after just 2 weeks the power system completely failed which meant it usually wouldn't even boot. When it did, it ran incredibly slowly to the point of being unusable.Asked Amazon for a replacement but they told me I needed to refund it and buy another which was frustrating.Took a chance on getting a warranty repair instead... So far they have replaced the motherboard, and are replacing the entire lid and screen as they found other issues during the initial repair.Owned it for 8 weeks, but it has been at the repair centre for 6 of those so whilst it might be a great laptop, Asus clearly has terrible quality control and famously bad repair services. In hindsight I would not buy this, not anything else from Asus. For reference I had a Surface Pro which also needed warranty repair but it was back within 2 weeks...

The best laptop I've had so far
I'm very impressed with the Asus ProArt 16. I do a lot of computer intensive work including programming advanced systems, using variouse VMs simultaneously, intense 4k video comping, CGI rendering and audio production... And a bit of gaming. It works well with all of that. I got 64GB mem and 2TB storage option. Ive added an extra 2TB storage which is the maximum internal storage. The 4k screen is great, the build quality and performance are great. It's a seriouse laptop for seriouse users. My only complaints are that the Ryzen 9 AI CPU is slightly throttled from its full potential due to power and heat. I haven't really noticed that in day to day use though - the performance exceeds my demanding use so far. The refresh rate and brightness of the screen could ideally be more. However, the ruggedness, size and performance at the price point is spot on. I'm very happy with it.
