Nice but broken
When I received it the trigger was broken. All products should be checked before being sent out. I need to use it this weekend so I super glued it. I hope it holds. UPDATE Amazon sent a replacement and I got it the next day for the fishing trip. The new reel worked perfect I was able to catch 30 fish over the weekend one was a good size largemouth

Good concept
The concept of using the trigger to pick up and hold the line is still a winner. However, the Zebco model is not as well made as the original Quantum model.

Love this reel, can't find this brand in stores.Glad to have found this reel here on AmazonMy son dropped my best rod in the lake ,Could not remember the brand, my fishing buddy remembered the name so I looked it up here, went fishing today .... So nice to have this real again!

The quick cast works with practice!
I've used this right after I purchased it, I respooled it immediately with new green 6lb filament.It worked fine, getting used to the trigger takes some time but I was able to pull in a 2lb bass and have some fun with it.

Doesn’t work
Doesn’t work. Trigger doesn’t catch the line. I have a very disappointed kid, who loved his previous snapshot real. Hoping that now that is owned by Zebco they aren’t all junk
