Keep your garden cat free (results may vary)
It's hard to accurately give a good representation of if this works or not, as not all cats are the same! However, it is commonly accepted that most cats aren't fond of citrus-type smells, and this is basically a concentrated bottle of citronella, orange and lemon oils, and nothing else (incidentally it smells lovely and could even be used to add fragrance round the house or put in a wax melt device). As it is so concentrated it can make a large amount of spray, up to 12 bottles at the lowest suggested concentration, or more realistically 4-8 bottles if you want a higher concentration. At first it might not seem the oil is coming out when you tip it to mix it up, but give it a few seconds and it starts to come out nicely in drops. Don't tilt it too far upside down to allow you to control it better. You will need your own spray bottle of course, but aside from that you're good to go. I've sprayed it around the top of the fence where my neighbour's cat likes to come in and do their business and chase the birds away, and so far I haven't seen it try to do it this week. You will need to reapply after it has rained, and perhaps top up periodically during dry seasons.

A natural way to deter cats
I ordered this item because we often get cats and foxes in the garden who love the bark we put down and enjoy using it as a big litter tray. What I really like about this product, is that the ingredients are all natural with no pesticides or artificial ingredients. It is just a blend of essential oils which are disliked by cats.I have only just put this down, so will have to wait and see how effective this is, but I'm very hopeful as I know cats and foxes dislike citrus scents. After rain, this will probably need to be reapplied, which I'm happy to do.The smell of this oil is absolutely lovely, it's so nice I'd happily use it in my bath, but I'll keep it for the garden! It smells quite strong but natural, which to me shows the good quality of this product.Overall I'm very happy with this and will try to remember to update the review with the outcome! I feel this represents great value for money.

Early signs (or lack of) is promising
There are quite a few cats in our street, one lady opposite to me has three cats.I am not overly fond of cats and need a way to deter them from leaving their little deposits in my garden borders.I made the solution slightly stronger and over the last two days I’m delighted to say I have had no further deposits from the felines.Normally when I come in from work there’s usually one if not two cats that vacate my garden when I pull up in my car onto my driveway.Since using the EFA International PestOil Cat repellent I have not seen any cats when pulling into my drive. From that plus the fact I have no little deposits potentially means the repellent is working well.Cats are by nature very crafty little creatures so let’s just wait and see if they decide to relocate to another neighbours garden and not mine.

Nice aroma, worth trying
I have been using this for the last week, at the maximum strength, mainly because there are 2 cats who are using half my garden & making a real mess. I love the scent of these oils so am not bothered by the smell when I walk passed. It does appear to be working, in that the cats have moved further up the garden, but it also seems to have stopped them going into my greenhouse during the day. The price felt a bit expensive initially but when you see how few drops you need for the various strengths of mixes, it is reasonable. I like that this is a UK company, and there is minimal storage required for storing the product. The only slight downside is that we have had a fair bit of rain so I have had to re apply it sooner than I would normally need to. A work in progress.

Interesting cat repellent essential oil
This essential oil mix has a strong citrus smell to it. Having mixed this up and sprayed it in the garden to stop cats from using it as their litter tray seems to be somewhat effective so far. Or at least we've not had a return visit since spraying this. I will be interesting to see how long this last. Might be annoying to re-spray if it gets washed away each time it rains. It is still somewhat early days to tell if this has really worked but the initial signs are promising. The fact your able to make up 12 litres means this should go a long way if it is only certain areas that are affected. If you need to cover your whole garden then this might not last that long. I will look update in a few months if the cats end up coming back.

Keeping your cats away from spaces has never been easier!
This essential oil blend has worked well in deterring cats from digging up certain areas in my garden. The strong scent is off-putting to animals but pleasant and herbal for humans. I mixed it into a spray bottle as directed and noticed fewer cat visits after the first couple of applications. It’s a more natural approach than chemical deterrents and doesn’t damage plants. The bottle goes a long way when diluted properly. However, I wouldn’t say it’s a miracle fix. For problem spots, you’ll need to apply regularly especially after rainfall. The scent fades over time so weekly use seems necessary for best results. I also tested it on some wooden fencing where cats liked to jump and that area stayed untouched for days. It may not stop determined cats entirely, but it does make them think twice. If you're looking for a garden-friendly way to keep neighbourhood cats away, this is worth trying. It’s cost-effective since you can make up to 12 litres from one bottle. The included instructions were clear and easy to follow. Much better than throwing away plants or constantly shooing cats. I’d buy again for gentle, ongoing deterrence.

Good but not great
Works well but have removed a star due to the fact it needs to be applied at least once a day which could become expensive. I’m hoping the neighbour’s cat will eventually get the message but I won’t hold my breath! Recommended as a short term solution but not sure if it will work over a longer period of time.
