What is depth of the C clamps? My desk has rounded edges and i am by not sure the clamps would be long enough to provide support for the monitors

Top of desk is 5" deep, bottom of desk the clamps are centered at 1 3/8" (where the screw is centered) and at the edge 2 1/4" deep.

I pretend to use it with a monitor and a laptop is there something like a base adapter so i can put my laptop on one arm?

I would not use this monitor stand for that. There is a lot of torque placed in the area of the mount, and it would probably break the glass.
