Barked up the Right Tree
Used this to secure a cable to a tree in my backyard with an outdoor LED light. Over the years, my tree shed its bark, and with it, the original "cable staples" snapped off. I wanted something a little sturdier, more robust, because no one wants to scale a giant tree if they don't have to. Way better than the old metal staples, made in the U.S.A. ("assembled") and from an old-school brand.Easy to use, just hammered them right in, and every staple felt very secure. The plastic had just enough give and flex to "cling" to the tree but strong enough that it did not crack or break while hammering the nails (though obviously aim for the nails, not the plastic bracket). Received 15 staples for $6, and for my purposes, I thought this was a great value. Used five and have ten more for the next time... really hoping I won't have to do this again, though!Highly recommended!

The staples work fine.
The white plastic strap is a little more flexable than some that I've used. I've never had a strap break or split. The nails work Ok, but will bend with an inaccurate hammer tap.

Finished the job; but with too many bent nails.
Delivered on-time and as advertised by the seller. The plastic centerpiece provides adequate protection for electrical cable which I was installing to connect an attic ventilator.I am deducting one star in my rating because the nails were bending too easily when driven into hardwood rafters.

Reliable Cable Staples for DIY Projects
During my recent electrical wiring project at home, I relied on the Gardner Bender PS-75 Insulated Staples to secure Romex and other non-metallic cables. These staples proved to be an essential tool in ensuring a neat and secure installation. What I particularly liked about these staples was their insulation. The polyethylene material not only secures the cables firmly but also protects them from potential damage caused by UV exposure. This feature is crucial for outdoor installations where sunlight could degrade unprotected materials over time.Another positive aspect was their design, which minimizes the risk of splintering. Handling the staples was comfortable, and I didn't encounter any issues with sharp edges or rough surfaces that could potentially damage the cables during installation. One minor drawback I noticed was that occasionally, the staples required a bit more force to fully secure the cables, especially in harder materials like hardwood. However, this was manageable with a good staple gun and didn't significantly impact the overall installation process. In conclusion, the Gardner Bender PS-75 Insulated Staples are highly recommended for DIYers looking to secure Romex and similar cables effectively. Their durable construction, UV resistance, and user-friendly design make them a reliable choice for both indoor and outdoor electrical projects.
