Bialetti 6860 Preziosa Stainless Steel 3-Cup French Press Coffee Maker, Silver (06860)

I used a cheaper version before buying this one, and I can tell from someone that brews coffee every single day, that this thing will last forever given proper care.Every thing fits snug, and it has enough capacity for a big mug.French press requires some patience to filter the coffee. Don’t push it down as soon as you pour hot water on the coffee, or you will have problems to push it completely down and spill some of grounds on the filtered portion. For a good experience in flavor, allow it to sit for at least 3-4 minutes before you push the filter down. As the fat from the coffee leaves the grounds, releasing flavor, the particles will start to decant and pushing the filter down will offer no resistance.I also do recommend to rinse it as soon as you pour the coffee on a mug, it is easier to clean it when it’s still warm.It’s a good investment for a one time buy

We use it for two full cups of coffee, about 220 ml per cup. Excellent product, protected class container. Don’t put the strainer part in the dishwasher as directed.

How can you not love the little Bialetti guy! (I'm northern Italian, I'm a little biased). It's a smoothly operating press of a good size. No sticking or tilting when you press it down. The handle is secure and it pours cleanly and easily. I brew my loose iced tea in here too. Works great!

The media could not be loaded. Watch the video. We bought this thinking it held 8 cups. It says 8 cups in the listing on Amazon, and says 8 cups on the side of the carafe, but it only holds a little over 4 cups. We've already got a three-to-four-cup press and ordered this one because we wanted to serve more people on a single press.Lesson learned: we went back to Amazon and discovered there are a very few other companies selling "8-cup, 32 ounce" presses. (The description of this Bialetti says nothing about "ounces.") Last we looked, there are 8 ounces in a cup, so an 8-cup press should hold 64 ounces, not 32, right? Maybe there's an international treaty that allows some press makers to pretend there are only 4 ounces in a cup, but we couldn't find that anywhere.Moral of the story? When buying a French Press, pay attention to capacity expressed only in ounces, not cups.
