COLOR: BROWN MIX G23E
MY HAIR: Clairol Nice‘n Easy Perfect 10 Permanent Hair Dye, 6.5A Lightest Cool Brown over mostly gray. My hair pulls red and this bun has copper highlights.PROS: Good color match-easy to clip over an existing small ponytail.-this is my quick gym glam up since I only have a thin knot of a ponytail.-still going strong. I bought this in 2024.CONS: gets frizzy easily. You need to shake it and fluff it out to keep it looking natural.RECOMMENDATIONS: I've got a ton of fake buns/ponys. Consider the following if you struggle with thin menopausal hair. It's all on amazon...-conair smoothing brush to snatch up the strays. magnetic Bobby pin holder. Lotta body foaming mousse. Keracolor temporary washing color to match up the bun flawlessly. loreal dry shampoo to tamp down the shinyness of the hair piece.Hope this helps make your decision easier. I paid $9.99 and it has lasted a year. I would/will purchase again. I rely heavily on reviews myself so I try and include everything I'm looking for!

perfect for brunettes growing in their greys
this was just what i needed I have been wearing hats all fall and winter to grow in my greys. Now it is summer and too hot to wear hats. Plus, it has grown in so much now that the grey is showing anyway. I'm not into the Morticia Adams look and I don't want to cut my hair real short. So I put it up and hide my brown ponytail with the brown and grey hair scrunchy. Perfect!Look:Perfect to my hair color.Ease of use:Put it on like any scrunchy

Waste of money, Halloween wig color, plastic
You get what you pay for. Color reminds me of a dollar store Halloween wig. Also very thin. Straight into the trash.

Full and very realistic
This piece did not match my hair color. The "grey" streaks are a bright bluish white and did not work with my particular color of grey.I have been trying to return these (I bought 2) and for some reason, it won't allow me to confirm my return, so I guess I'm stuck with them. That being said, these are very full, and have the most realistic texture. I just wish they matched better.I've been buying these from a major home shopping network for years in my original hair color, and paying over twice as much. These are so much thicker, nicer, and less than ten bucks each.I wear 2 at a time, one in my previous, darker hair color, since my hair is still "two tone". The second one, in grey, I blend with the darker one, and put both on at the same time. Thanks to these "scrunchies ", I haven't had a bad hair day in years. They're so easy to use, and almost anyone at any age looks good with a "messy bun".

Good match for my light brown/graying hair.
I am pleased with this hair accessory. It is so hard to determine color online and difficult to coordinate with graying hair. This I found very acceptable.

Easy and flattering.
I have naturally curly hair-- some of it in big loops, most in ringlets, and far too many bits that go straight then zaggle at the end-- and it is an everlasting pain to make it look tidy. I have fond memories of a synthetic hair scrunchie I purchased from Sally's Beauty Supply that tamed my Hurricane Chic off and on for about a month before becoming bedraggled and unusable. I saw this item and got a new one, reasoning that the price was right and I could get a few good uses out of it before it too was consigned to the trash. These things seem to twist in on themselves and become a tangled mess.Well! I was shocked to pull out the softest synthetic hair I've ever felt. It was curly enough to blend with mine and there was a big loop of it. I didn't really know what to do with this scrunchie since it looked too big for one loop around a ponytail and maybe too small to wrap double if you have really thick, curly hair. (It wraps double just fine!) For those who haven't worn one, this is a hairpiece, not a real scrunchie, and the elastic in it is sufficient to keep it wrapped around a pony or a bun but not strong enough to replace a hair elastic.I ended up doing what another reviewer suggested and double-ponytailed my hair, pulling it into two close buns, and wrapped this around both. The buns looked like big loopy curls and fit right in. It worked really well! I was cooking all day long, the day before Christmas, and people passed through and told me how nice my hair looked. After hours of sweaty, hammy cooking, I was still getting compliments on my hair. That is a Christmas miracle. When I went to put up my hair the next day I knew the poor little thing would have a hangover and would be twisted like an Escher painting in the way only synthetic hair can twist, inside out and upside down and who knows, but I pulled it out anyway and regarded it critically. It beamed at me like a curly tribble. I soothed it with a brush in case it was rabid. It needed no soothing. It wasn't tangled or twirled or a wormhole or rabid so I tossed it back on. I got more compliments. A ponytail and a scrunchie -- there couldn't be a simpler way to class up my look.My only quibble (heh, tribble quibble) is that the color isn't spot on. The color level was right but the shade was just a hair off. It's a little false somehow. This seems to be a pretty common complaint with this hairpiece and it's not noticeable enough to keep me from wearing it. I'd give it four and a half stars if I could, but since I have to round and my experiences have been uniformly positive, I'm rounding up. I will be buying from this manufacturer again.
