It is a good sized shade structure that is light and packs into a very small bag. It is water resistant but not water proof so under heavy rain you'll get a few spots dripping but there's no place for water to pool. It is large enough that you can fit a couple of chairs and a small table but don't expect to put a picnic table under it. The stakes are really thin and cheap. Use better stakes if there's any chance of high winds. It is flexible and there aren't many guy lines so in medium winds it tries to flatten. Adding guy lines to the top of the openings makes it _much_ more stable in the wind.From my point of view this is excellent for my needs and for the price but is more fiddly than many people will want to deal with.
