I have used this hand cream for decades and although I’ve tried others, I always come back to this one. I have dry hands and cuticles from frequent hand washing but applying this cream throughout the day, keeps my hands soft and hydrated. After applying, smooth it into skin until it’s absorbed. It’s a little thick but that’s why I like it. This product stays on the hands and this is where the protection comes in. Even after washing hands, there is some lotion still left on the hands. Just remember, a little goes a long way. This product has been around for many, many years and for good reason, it works. I recently purchased 2 tubes for purse and home and will continue to keep using this beloved product because it is a “must have”! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The best hand cream ever! I have used this for many years, and it truly works like magic. Helps heal the tiny cracks that develop in the cold weather by your nails. Excellent for dry and scaly skin. Expensive but worth it.

I've tried so many moisturizers including some of the top reviewed ones from places like Medline, Aveeno, Eucerin, etc. Finally, my mother said, "try Neutrogena Norwegian formula." I guess the whole family uses this product, thanks to my mother. I didnt listen (of course, she's my mother) so she bought me a tube. I know this is so cliche but, I have never had anything that worked before...and of course this one worked like magic.So while this product really does offer superior moisturizing there is a negative as well (yep, just one), so here it goes:While the direction says "a dab goes a long way" this product is so thick its hard to spread the "dab" over the whole hand. So what i tried was using water as a carrier for the hand cream. While this method does work, it leaves more of a sticky feel over the hands. So i bought a hand pump and added olive oil. I mix a "dab" of Neutrogena with a squirt of oil which acts as the carrier for the neutrogena. This methods adds such a smooth, soft, silky feel that i will never use anything else. This product is hypoallergenic and there is absolutely no smell that would irritate the most sensitive of them out there. If you are someone who like the smells of fragrance, then my suggestion is to by one you like and use that oil instead of olive oil, as a carrier. This way you'd get the best moisturizer with the perfect smell!!Now the result: my hands are extremely dry all the time. It runs in the family. But my hands have improved. I dont know by how much but there is a considerable difference in the way my skin feels and looks.The downfall: theres a thickness to the cream and doesn't spread easily but it easily remedied by oil.Overall, I definitely recommend anyone to try this product at least once to give it a chance. You won't be disappointed.

Work on the driest desert of skin, applied nightly before bed and works it overnight. Bought this two times, takes a bit longer to arrive though. At least a month FYI.

As numerous reviewers have stated, this is misrepresented at 6 ounces. You will receive a 2 oz. tube. I called Neutrogena directly and they said they do not even carry a 6 oz size and any complaints would need to be directed to Amazon directly. I called the Amazon customer care number and they gave me a refund but WHY DON'T YOU JUST CORRECT YOUR WEBSITE INSTEAD OF HAVING DISGRUNTLED CUSTOMERS? Don't make us call your customer care and waste time.

This Norwegian formula was the only hand cream recommended by my dermatologist. I was having issues with the skin around my thumbs and cuticles. Despite wearing gloves, I was working in the garden daily for the Spring and my hands were cracked and the skin changed to very hard texture, despite wearing other creams. This cream is like a miracle. Absolutely love it and it works very well.

Very effective moisturizing cream for chapped, dry hands. I don't like the way most creams feel on my hands and how long it takes to get absorbed. This product absorbs very quickly and you don't need to use much. Just a small dab will go a long way. As far as effectiveness...you can see and feel a significant difference by the next day after you use it.
