Works like a charm, as good as I hoped.Previously I was using speaker cables to run from my receiver, directly across the living room floor, to under my couch to the rear speakers. I had covered the wires with a carpet. It was ugly. The carpet had bulges were it covered the (thin) wires. I hated it.I didn't want to buy a set of wireless speakers because I've a full set of Bose cubes. I'd either end up with cheap sounding speakers, or have to spend a ton on decent ones. Since I already had good speakers, I liked for a transmitter / receiver system. I had a couple different ones in the past to send TV signals to different rooms in my house, so I figured there would be one for speakers.Surprisingly there were few! At least for a reasonable price.So hook up was pretty quick. Always a pain to pull out my receiver to get to the back for the speaker hook ups, but that's not this products fault.Once I had it hooked up, I did the pairing and got a good solid link.But I got no sound from the rear. At all. Volume on the unit turned up. Nothing.Looked on line, stumbled across someone having the same problem I had. The problem was me! I didn't read the directions closely and mistook the transmitter for the receiver unit! (the transmitter is the smaller unit of the two)Once I swapped them and re-paired them to each other (like, press a button) everything worked great!It's been a bit since I bought this unit, still works great.

Flawless. Works perfectly. Super easy install and it even comes with 2 speaker cables for the sender. I immediately re-ran my Yamaha receiver’s sound test and the distances to the rear speakers are accurate as if they were cables. This confirmed that there is no delay.Super happy. My speaker wires were becoming frayed under our hard wood floor and this was a super easy and cheap hack to get my surrounds to be happy again.Love it. Wish I’d done it earlier.

I had purchased a more expensive option from another company but had issues with poor sound quality and one side quit altogether. Love the sound quality and performance on this setup and wish I had gone with Rocketfish first.

The kit arrived within 3 days and was easily to set up. The included instruction manual is fairly detailed. It works as expected but there is one issue: when my receiver switches to standby then the wireless kit outputs a very distracting hum. The hum is equally audible on both speakers. I think this issue must be fixed before I can use this kit. I kept the original packaging and have already arranged for a return. Too bad since otherwise this would be a great product.

So far the unit is performing as expected. I was able to hook up my rear speakers without having to run wires across my room. ( I needed a solution like this since my room has cathedral ceilings and the floor below is finished and I did not want to tear up the ceiling below the room to run wires. Also I did not want to run wires around the doors and windows in my room). It was easy to setup and get working. My system was able to calibrate the rear speakers and the surround sound is working. The only issue I have is that the unit is mostly plastic and looks very cheap. I am not sure how dependable it will be over the long run. It seems as though it would be very easy to break the plastic tabs you use to secure the speaker wire if I had to move the system. Also, the speaker wire that comes with it is very thin. I am not an expert on audio and have not run any tests to validate how accurate the sound reproduction is when using this unit. But for my setup, it works well enough.

I had an Amphony wireless transmitter/receivers for 5 years. My right rear speaker amp/receiver stopped working. Decided to buy Rocketfish. The differences are the Amphony transmitter allows to setup a 7.1 rear speaker system (2 sets of rear speakers or rear speakers and front presence speakers) and Rocketfish transmitter allows only 1 set of rear speakers for a 5.1 rear speaker setup because if I understand this correctly the transmitter and receiver are factory designated for that specific transmitter and receiver set. When I buy front presence speakers I will have to buy another Rocketfish kit. The Amphony has a receiver/amp for each speaker with volume control, the Rocketfish has 1 receiver/amp for both speakers with 1 volume control to both speakers as shown on their information sheet. Amphony amp was 80 watts, Rocketfish amp has two 25 watts per speaker. Amphony is not selling its wireless kit anymore.Installing/setting up Rocketfish was easy, instructions are good. Pairing the transmitter to receiver was the easiest, quickest and automatically connected itself without my pressing any buttons. I have rear passive Cerwin bookshelf speakers so I would like to have more than 25 watts receiver/amp, 50 watts would be better to have more volume control difference between front speakers and rear speakers. I have the receiver/amp volume knob to max. When I increase or decrease my TV audio receiver volume, the rear speaks are always slightly lower volume. If the Rockfish receiver/amp had 50 watts per speaker, this wireless system would be one of the better systems for passive speakers. As said in other reviews this is wireless between the audio receiver and the speakers. The rear speakers are wired to the receiver/amp and plugged into wall socket or surge protector as I have it. I recommend it.

I have a 10++ years old Bose acoustimass surround system. The wireless transmitter for the rear speakers began to fail and Bose no longer services it. With minor input wires modifications or adapters it can be made to work.So far it works fine, just like the Bose transmitter. This way i can perhaps squeeze a couple more years out of this old system
