We had a nice above ground basketball hoop and the base was trash. I couldn’t justify purchasing an in ground hoop when ours worked fine (aside from the base). We ordered this and it was delivered quicker than expected. It was easy to install and works well. It’s much more visually appealing than the sandbags and blocks we had holding down our old hoop. My teens dunk on this and it doesn’t budge! Great value!

Our portable base busted and was so bulky and in the way. This sleeve fits around the base and is driven into the ground which makes it very study. My Grandsons really like it and now can dunk the ball. A little pricy but made of steel. Much better than base filled wth sand or water.

Impressively Engineered and Built to LastThis is a well-engineered and durable upgrade from the flimsy plastic, water-filled bases. I was very impressed with the quality and design. I had planned for a two-evening installation, but to my surprise, I was able to take down my old hoop and install the new base by myself in under two hours. This thing is really slick. Pretty much anytime there was strong wind the hoop would blow over. It almost hit my truck on more than one occasion. Myself and my son put it up in about an hour and a half, I will mention I was able to easily sledgehammer it into the ground…some people complained about that being a pain. A little pricey, but well worth it imho.

Took a bit to get in the ground, but definitely worth the time. Sturdy and adjustable. Lots of fun and nice that kids aren’t on a screen.

Spalding wanted as much to replace the cracked base of my son's portable basketball hoop as an entirely new unit. Found this for half the price. I did not notice the instructions said use a 10 pound sledge. I bought an 8 pound sledge. I probably had to whack the steel base 300 times to drive it 2' deep into the ground into clay. Would it have been easier with a 10lb sledge? Not sure. But the 8lb got it done. It's no joke though.On my installation, I had a sprinkler line that ran parallel to my driveway where this needed to be installed. Also, I felt like installing this at the edge of the driveway created a bit of a hazard for my car. So I buried a paver flush with the driveway, and that gave me maybe a foot of setback. I can not imagine that this thing is EVER coming up, even if I want to pull it up. Seems like a quality product, heavy steel, sturdy as heck.

Kids play on it all day everyday holds nice worth the price and easy to install
