Q: In what country is this tent made?

It is an American company, but they outsource their manufacturing to China. If you want to buy a very similar tent (and some argue superior) that is made in America, check out the Springbar. But your patriotism will come at a higher price. Both brands have their fanboys, but I doubt you could go wrong with either brand.

Q: Does this tent come with the screen for the awning?

This model tent can not use the screen feature. You have to get the 9x14 deluxe Kodiak canvas tent to be able to use the optional screen awning.It is a great tent though, but you are limited to just the overhead awning shown in this picture.

Q: Can a wood stove hole be put in?

You really don't need a wood stove. I have a 10 x 14 and I am the only person in the tent. I camp in all weather including when it is in the 20's. I only use a Big Buddy heater using a 12 foot hose connected to a 20lb tank outside the tent (thru the back zippered door). Even with a large tent and just one person, the tent stays around 60 degrees in those cold temps. I use a Teton 40" wide cot and a Cabela's 48" wide 3' thick pad and sleeping is great !!! I am 65 years old with bad knees and can put this tent up in 10 minutes or so. It is bomb proof to weather and I can find nothing wrong with it......... At around 30 degrees and the heater set on medium, I only use about 3/4 of a gallon of propane a night. The 20lb tank hold roughly 5 usable gallons.

Q: How durable/waterproof is the canvas for long term owners of this tent? Is it comparable to the durable Sunforger canvas used in popular wall tents?

I am not familiar with the Sunforger canvas, but this is thicker than the canvas tent from Coleman my parents had in the 60's and 70's.The canvas is heavy/sturdy and protects well in the wind and rain (I got tired of ending trips early because of weather in nylon tents with rainflys).I have not ended any trip early because of weather with this tent. The tent is very comfortable in pretty high winds in North Texas, rain in New Orleans.The key properties of the tent is the ability pitch it alone in ten minutes, and have the head room of a cabin tent that doesn't require 2-4 people to set up.
