Must have for classroom!! Great company!
I LOVE this timer in my first grade inclusion class! They love it too! I love that it doesn't need batteries or to be charged, it's like and old school kitchen timer. It's large enough for me to display on my whiteboard and the whole class can see. That is another reason I love it because it has 2 huge stripes ng magnets on the back that hold it to my whiteboard. It also has a stand for if I need to move it or take it with me to recess. It did start to stop ticking and would not go off after almost a whole school year of using it daily. I contacted the company and they were very quick to send a response and replacement. I couldn't recommend this timer and company more. I've actually talked 3 coworkers at school into to buying them! They love it too! The kids were so sad when it stopped working and were so lost without it. They are going to be so excited when they see the new working timer tomorrow!! Thank you Secura!!!

Found a good one
I've had a heck of a time finding a good kitchen timer. This one rocks. Yes, it is big. But once you try it, you'll wonder why you went with small ones. The magnets keep it on fridge well. But you can use the legs. Battery powered timers NEVER die before you use them. They never die after you use them. They always die WHILE you are using them. This thing doesn't use batteries. Turn the dial just past 55, then set to anything between 59 minutes and 1 minute. The colored moving dial makes casual readings extremely easy from far away. So you won't have to go into the kitchen with your reading glasses on and squint at a tiny dial anymore. The bell can be easily heard from 1 room away. Two if the house is relatively quiet. You can hear the ticking, but it's not bad at all. I've been using it upwards of 7 times per week for about a month now without a problem at all. If you want a timer for more than 1 hour, this one is not for you. If you MUST have a teeny tiny timer, this one is not for you.

Broke within 1 month of purchase but is getting replaced!
Love this timer for my 2.5 year old! It is easy to use and made it so he could easily see how much time left there was before we needed to clean up/move on/etc. You do have to rotate the timer to 55 and then to your time if setting it for a small amount of time in order for the buzzer to go off- not a big deal, just something to keep in mind when using. Strong magnets made it secure to the fridge. Unfortunately, the color disc broke after about a month of use and it is no longer usable. But I contacted Secura customer service and found out the visual timer has a two year warranty and they immediately addressed the issue. Very happy with this purchase!

Works well but ticks
This clock arrived quickly and works well. I like the visual timer however the ticking of the timer is kind of loud. I would have preferred it to be silent.

Waste of money. DO NOT BUY
The media could not be loaded. BUYER BEWARE:Would rate zero stars if I could. I ordered two timers for my kids. I used this same brand a few years back and loved the product. When they arrived, the first timer had a bent "timekeeping hand" underneath the plastic and would click but would not move to show the time (entire point of the timer is to be able to set it and watch the time run down). It is impossible to use this as a functional timer. It is clearly the cheapest kitchen timer they could find screwed into the middle of a poorly-constructed and designed, cheap plastic frame. Even the 'time's up" ring is an old school mechanical twist timer with no volume control. The second timer was completely sealed behind the decorative numbers around the face of the timer so you could not set it or use it as a functional timer. They are 0/2 on this product. It is a horribly designed and constructed, cheap waste of money. SAVE YOUR MONEY. DO NOT BUY. Unfortunately this company has gone downhill from when I last ordered from them and it was a STEEP fall. See my other review for an additional video.

Ok, but a few design flaws that need to be fixed
I ordered one green and one blue. I have used both for up to 5 minutes at a time. The timing is accurate enough for my purposes. Both do go 10-20 seconds beyond the actual time set when compared to a stop watch, but it is not easy to be exact when setting the timer so this time difference may be due to that. They make a ticking sound while operating, but it is not incredibly loud and has not been distracting for my purposes (I work with adults). They are relatively small, so are easy to pack up and take with me for off-site use. I really like that they do not require batteries so I don’t have that added expense or worry. The colored disks are bright enough that you can easily gauge your time visually even from a distance. For me, the biggest issue has to do with operation of the bell. The blue timer will "ding" several times between minutes 4 and 3 and the green one between minutes 3 and 2. This random "dinging" is problematic, as it distracts people from their work because they erroneously think their time is up. The second problem is the fact that neither timer makes a noise when the entire time has elapsed - the ticking just stops. Because the ticking is relatively quiet, I can’t hear it unless I am pretty close by. Therefore, I have to repeatedly look at the timer to know when time is up, which takes my attention away from the work I am doing while the timer is running. If I turn the knob to 0 manually, the timer sounds, but it does not sound at all when operating on its own. If this issue were to be corrected, these visual timers would be perfect for my purposes.

Great for teachers
This clock is nice and big, great design, easy to use, and sticks to the board wis a strong hold. The quality is excellent and was a great time and behavior management tool for me this year!
