Bit fairytailish
The one thing that both girls have in common in this film are domineering pushy mothers and complacent fathers. Maybe I am overanalysing but wonder whether the gay thing was looking for a mother substitute. The two women did not loathe men nor were they unappealing to men so that took away the stereotype from a male perspective. The comedy routine spitting into cup of water was not funny. Eminem did something similar in one of his videos. That sort of thing is revolting and makes me retch. That comedy waitress was unnecessary and annoying. Isn't she Zainab out of Eastenders?I am giving it three stars because I got bored. This film if viewed by a younger audience would probably have more appeal. The story jumped and lacked any depth. The scenes seemed a lot like two straight women just having a laugh mainly because they were both beautiful. They discuss the situation after the first love scene without appearing remotely shocked at what has happened. Most people would need some time and space. Most people would be burdened with emotion. Not these two. Breaking off engagements to fiances and telling their strict families that they are gay is an absolute breeze! Not believable at all.

loved this movie
I knew this movie because of one occasion. If you have not been watched this movie yet, you'd better not see this review. Tara, she is young british born-woman of Jordnian and spirited .Layra, she is shy and sensitive aspiring writer. They are contrastive.Although they are attracted each other.Lisa Ray and Sheetal Sheth are beautiful.I also watched "the world unseen"."The world unseen" is serious because of time background, that apart heid and subjection of women. "I can't think straight" is brighter and comical than "the world unseen" In particular, the house keeper who works in Tara's house in this movie, she is out good taste and comical. I love both movie.

YES, ENJOYABLE AND INSIGHTFUL
Brilliant, a really good romantic story without the usual OTT steamy sex scenes. What there is of that is tasteful and germane to the story. I won't got into details so as not to spoil it but it's an interesting take across the religious divide with some clear insights into how this type of relationship might impact on others in the family. It's quite humorous in parts and occasionally played for laughs. Some of the acting is a bit wooded and the script could do with some work and polishing in parts but overall a feel good film that's an enjoyable way to pass a couple of hours.

Much Ado About Nothing?
I recently watched 'Kiss Me' which also told the tale of the engaged to a man woman deciding that another woman was her thing rather than the man she was engaged to. It seems a little unoriginal a theme. In this film we have two beautiful women, one the spoilt child of a very wealthy father, who simper around and eventually get together, happy ever after, one hopes.....It all felt very amateurish, the budget must have been practically nothing and it's a shame that the 'Jordan' scenes (if they were shot in Jordan) couldn't have included Petra and a desert day/night scene. I visited Petra when you were able to ride through the gap on a horse and it is spectacular. Instead we had to make do with a few of London's features, not quite the same. Of course if you want a less restrictive rating then there ends up being no sex and no sense of mutual pleasure coming out of their attraction to each other.

Funny, Sexy, Great Movie
Watched it 10 times in 2 weeks!!!This is an amazing movie!!! Great (and hot) actors, with a lot of funny moments, and a couple of sexy ones too. This is a very light hearted film, the love story behind it is two straight girls discovering their sexuality/coming out, but not in the usual tragic way that we are used to see in films. The topic of politics and religion is also touched and it's good to see it. The story is lovely because we also see the girls dealing with their family and friends. If you want to watch the World Unseen as well (same director, same actors) I would suggest to watch that one first cos it will build you up for I cant Think straight. In any case BUY THIS MOVIE!!! It's def one of the best lez movie I watched :)

one of the best lesbian films ive seen
i decided to buy the film after watching parts of it on youtube- i wasnt disappionted! its one of the better lesbian filmsa around at the moment. if you like the romance in the film to be beliveable.. and nothing too in your face then this is a film for you.its funny and alittle sad in parts but realistic.. lisa ray is simply gorgous!! even if she does have the nose thing goin on! you'll have to watch it to kno what i mean!! lol!!one of the best things about it is tht the fathers of both the leyla and tala are okay with their daughets being gay and its their mothers that have a prblm wth it.. which i thought for a muslim and a palastian character would be different..watch it or miss out!! ;op

What was I thinking!
This has got to be one of the worst films I've ever seen, full stop. The premise was so good, but it it's excruciatingly badly acted from the get-go from all involved and is trying way too hard to be edgy. It throws in badly written political and stereotypical cultural references/differences for the sake of it and did I mention the acting. It was painful to watch. I kept going until their first love scene to see if it got any better, but alas no, I was still accutely embarrassed by the acting and all the above mentioned points. The only highlight was the maid who kept trying to get her rude and arrogant boss to drink coffee she had spat in. I stopped watching after the first love scene because it's just too awful on every single level. Even the music was badly chosen, trying at times to be like Elena Undone, but failing miserably. It's not easy to find a well made, well acted lesbian film and this has not helped matters. I Can't Think Straight is truely abysmal.
