My 10 year old loves it! It's functional, easy to use, sturdy and fun, if a little tricky to pick things up. It's quite noisy, but at least we can tell if she's trying to sneak a treat out of it! Takes 3x D type batteries which aren't included. I was a little concerned by how long the batteries might last, but we've had it just over a month and the cheap ones we bought haven't died yet with quite a lot of use.

The media could not be loaded. Says my 7 year old granddaughter. After reading the reviews about this I was a bit apprehensive about buying it. She wanted it so I bought it and I'm so glad I did. I honestly don't know why so many negative reviews were given. I decided to add the video to show how good it really is. The claw is strong, it can grab two capsules in one go and it also can grab a lollypop. The capsules I purchased from amazon also included rubber bouncy balls which are quite heavy but the claw had no problem grabbing them. She can also play with it without the music which is controlled by the on/off button. Money well spent and most of all the smile on my granddaughters face makes it more worth while

Bought for granddaughter for Christmas. Made sure we tested it. Works really well with sweets, ball toys and squishy toys. Picks up and moves them easily. Joystick controls work well, easy to fill from hole at back. Quite sturdy. Good value for what paid.

Bought for my grandson unfortunately when it arrived the grabber did not work.. l sent it back and was quickly given a full refund

At first glance, the Candy Grabber looks fantastic, with a great retro arcade-style design and really good build quality. It runs on 3 D batteries, which is inconvenient, but the included coins are neatly stored in a compartment underneath the unit, a handy feature for keeping them safe when not in use. Using the machine is simple: just insert a coin to activate and use the controls to manoeuvre the grabber. Unfortunately, that's where the fun ends. The grabber is absolutely useless at picking up sweets. I tried a variety of treats, including small loose sweets, and it couldn’t grab anything. My daughter quickly lost interest as it became clear that it was impossible to win anything. Total waste of money, looks great, but functionally useless. Save your cash and avoid the frustration!

My 9yo daughter saw a sweetie grabber machine at our local toy shop. I was reluctant to buy it as it was flimsy and very babyish looking. I saw this and was slightly concerned by other reviews I had read and the cost. I thought it was quite expensive for what it is. I must say though, this toy has entertained all our family members and created so many laughing fits that it's worth every single penny.

Bought as a gift. They loved it!

Grandchildren are having lots of fun with this . I brought for a birthday present but even the adults are playing with it!
