Children Just Like Me: Celebrations!: Festivals, Carnivals, and Feast Days from Around the World

This is a great book to share with the children. We use it as an adult book to share with our early years children during celebrations of different faiths and cultures.

Ties in nicely with my "UNDERSTANDING ALL KIDZ CULTURES TEACHING UNIT" . .. It's part of my TAI JI FUN . .. CREATIVE DISCOVERY LEARNING APPROACHES helping kidz use their MULTI ~ Intelligences and various hands-on senses . . . W - A - A - A - H what a fun- der- ful way to engage our kidz' attention !!! Still needs to include more of the Islamic , mid-Eastern countries, as well as the INDIGENOUS PEOPLES of the Austrailias . . .

Unfortunately the book was ripped in a few places. Otherwise the book itself if fantastic.

I love this book. It has excellent pictures, descriptions and information about different holidays and how they are celebrated around the world. We have actually celebrated some of them ourselves, using this book to help recreate the holiday. We also use it n our homeschooling program.It is a great tool to introduce children to the diversity of culture and religion that exist around the globe.

Really well done, as all the books in this series. It teaches the whole family about traditions around the world, without being eurocentric or biased. Very very popular with my 3.5 year old. We live in a very homogeneous part of the country, and I am grateful for a pictorial depiction of the world from such a joyful perspective.
