Checked the reviews, and agree with the weakness of the small push nubs to lock other brands. The Buddybar is heavy, solid, locks securely, and is very easy to use. When my wife has to travel, this goes with her.

I would rate this a 4.5, I would remove half a star because the locking tab is a little too small. If it was larger, it would be easier to use. When I have it in place properly, I cannot budge the door open at all. I have had a family member threaten me, so never felt safe at night sleeping, always waiting for a break-in. Now, I know they will not be able to get into my bedroom before the cops would arrive. What a peace of mind lifesaver!

This does what it says it does. Easy to use. And it's heavy too...

I was hesitant about this devise due the price, it is considerably more expensive than similar devises. It is worth the cost, it is sturdy and well made, I trust that it will do the job well. I bought it for added security to an exterior door where an attempt to gain entry had unsuccessfully happened. This gives me extra piece of mind. I would definitely recommend this security device.
