Q: 1) Is the magnet connection strong? And 2) how long is the wire part? Thanks

The magnets are not strong enough to reliably keep the earbuds together during physical activities. Doing so, you would risk them slipping off from around your neck and losing them. I couldn't measure the cable length accurately but I would estimate it to be about 2ft long or 0.7m, which is long enough to go around my neck and sit comfortably midpoint on my chest. Mine came with a simple cable adjuster in case you wanted to shorten the cable

No, sadly these units do not support multipoint
