Very handy little multi tool
I have owned and used this tool for 18 months for so many little jobs on the go it's hard to work out how I got on without one. As long as you don't loose it when putting it down while doing something else, seems to be what I did, put it down lost it, so now I am buying another . One thing that would be nice if they did one of these in a bright colour so people like me can find it when I put it down at random in muddy dirty areas. Another thing, once people know you have this tool on you all the time they will be for ever asking yo for use of a knife, screwdriver or pliers.

small but mighty
It's small but very useful. It's a key-chain multi-tool so it'll clearly have some limitations due to its size but it's well built and look nice.Because of the size I end up using it a lot as sort of fidget.I've had it for almost one month, and I've already used it many times. The blades are both very sharp: easily passed the paper slicing test even after a couple of weeks of use (although it was not massive use). The serrated blade may seem a bit pointless, but I like that it has a sort of utility knife point so it's very convenient to open boxes and cut through plastic packaging. The reasons why it does not get 5 stars are:- The finish is not great (I see why someone commented "Chinese")- A very minor cosmetic point: the 2 halves are not completely aligned so it looks a bit twisted. It's just 1mm but if you have a minor OCD you may get annoyed :)- The springs are very stiff and when opening the tool, your nails may spoil...likely there is a nail file that works well- The biggest negative point for me is that the lanyard loop is on the side of the blades so, if it's really used as a key-chain it's almost impossible to use the blades.

AVOID DON’T BUY GERBER
My wife purchased me one of these a couple of years ago, it’s a versatile concept unfortunaly made with rubbish steel. The blades didn’t hold an edge and required sharpening after opening a single amazon box!, however as the size was so useful and the range of tools i stayed with it sharpening it every week, how ever there came a time when opening a box ( just cutting the tape on and amazon box) the steel that supports the main blade fractured rendering it useless. As the size of this item was so useful i bought a replacement, after it arrived realised it had a “lifetime” guarantee when I checked Gerbers web site said to contact their UK importers Fiskars. I Did this and supplied details and receipt but was ignored. To make matters worse today after wining the second one for 4 months the same thing has happened the support for the main blade fractured after owning for less than 4 months…. Never buying Gerber again.. the steel is very poor quality.

Price is best for item range £15 to £20
Gerber Vise arrived slightly wonky / around 1mm off, and a little scuffed even from packet, or could have been me, not sure due to being Aluminium sides easily scuffed / worn.DESIGN POINTS: I would have preferred one blade with 2 thirds serrated edge and one third smooth blade and tip, rather than two blades wasting one tool space. The bottle opener is also a waste due to it being attached to a flat head screwdriver which limits the depth use as it is a "box channel U shape" opener. But the Phillips screwdriver is better than the Gerber dime because it is slightly "3D" and not simply a pointed "2D" tip. Also The pliers have 3 functions - grips - pliers - cutters, but cutters are very small [would have been better to have slightly smaller pointy end tip with another 2mm of cutter blade. The small screwdriver flat-head is OK, but rounded on one side and bladed the other [deign should be both bladed]. The second blade could have been a longer tool for a longer full flat-head, or better still a hook tin opener package cutter combo etc.OVERALL: It is the best available on 17 / 01 /2024 for the price i got it at £19.99 etc, could do with better design, it seems tough enough, and I still have time to send it back for a better aligned one, but it's not a big problem for me. It seem a better bargain than the Gerber Dime and is smaller than others of same price = about two pinky fingers wide and deep in size [roughly]. The warranty is 25years for outside the USA etc, which is fine.

Much More Than a Pen-knife!
All tools are a compromise and this little pocket tool has been designed to be incredibly useful and very portable. Obviously, it is not as strong as the range of full-size tools that it stands in for but I must say that all of the functions work as they should. I have owned one for over three years and hardly a day has gone by when I haven't used it for something. A full tool kit may do the job better but just try fitting that in your pocket!

Great quality, well worth the money
Awesome little tool, so handy. Small enough to live in the small jeans pocket, I forget I’m even carrying it. Despite the small size, it feels seriously well made. I’ve had cheaper versions of this type of tool, but this one is well worth the money. All of the tools can be selected with ease, there’s no struggle to get the tools out. All tools feel very sturdy, no wobbling at all. Only small reservation, would be nice to have a small scissor tool instead of one of the two knives, but that’s just personal. Overall, this is a lovely little tool and I can highly recommend it

Great multi tool for EDC in the workplace.
I bought this for my friend as a Christmas present, as his last multi tool had broken. he is a warehouse manager and uses the tool every day for opening parcels/pallets. the tool is very sturdy and has a great build quality, it is packaged nicely in a high quality cardboard/blister style pack, perfect for a gift. BE WARNED, the knife is very sharp and does not lock open (uk regulations) and he has already accidently cut himself with ease. overall great product, which is expected from a company like Gerber.
