IRIS USA Cat Litter Box, Large Top Entry with Litter Catching Lid and Scoop, Dog Proof, Enclosed Cat Litter Box, Gray/White

I have had these litter boxes for about three days now and absolutely love them! The cats took to them very quickly without a problem and the scattering of litter has pretty much stopped completely! The cats jump in and out without a problem. I do keep a small brush– a paintbrush actually – hung on one of the boxes and just use it to brush any litter through the holes and back into the box when they are through. It looks so much neater and cleaner than the others! So glad I found them!

Update: The box has been toppled over by the cats a couple of times now, perhaps due to being too light on the bottom compared to the top (especially with a cat climbing out of the thing) without more litter. This time it left a nasty smeared poop mess in the box. I guess I would say be aware of this and if you get it, make sure there is a good amount of litter or that it's placed in a way that the cats won't topple it! At least it's pretty easy to clean it.I like it; it’s nice and simple and helps with litter tracking. My cats went right in and had no issues acclimating to using it. It keeps my cats from kicking litter everywhere over the sides of the box. Of course you will still see some stray litter but at least it isn’t a bunch all around the box everyday. My cats are not small but they fit fine. It’s nice and sturdy. I like that I can hook the lid on the side of the box when I scoop. I am using my old scoop and haven’t tried the one that came with this one. It’s a little difficult to take off the lid and I have to use two hands to do it and unsnap one side at a time to prevent the litter that collected on the top from spilling on the floor. I dump the little bit of litter that collected on the top back into the box. It’s still open from the top so keep in mind that if the litter smells, you will still smell it.

This is the best litter box ever! It stopped the cat litter from being trekked all over. It is large and roomy inside for my cats comfort. He loves it. Sometimes he just spends time hopping in and out of it because he can. It’s fabulous, didn’t cost hundreds of dollars and no motor to wear out.

For ages I'd seen this litter box hyped up online, and when I finally was in the market for a new box I was more excited than I should've been to give this one a go. I do think this is a pretty nice litter box, especially considering most look like dull grey boxes that ought to be tucked in some corner never to be looked at by polite company, but it's not really as nice as I'd hoped it'd be. It does help a bit with litter scatter, but one of my little demons manages to jump in and out in such a way that he explode the litter against the lip as he jumps in and out anyways, and I find that the depth of the box makes it a bit more of a pain to clean than front-entry boxes. The scoop's holes are just a teensy bit too large for the litter I use, so the clumps fall right through. The clip that latches the lid onto the box also feels a bit flimsy, which makes me nervous about having to unclip and reclip it every single day, multiple times a day...that plastic has to fail at some point, and once it does the box is basically useless. The nail in the coffin is that my smaller female cat struggles to jump up to use it sometimes, which I feel too guilty about given that the main reason I opted for top-entry was to prevent litter scattering too much, and that hasn't quite panned out the way I'd hoped.A litter box that's pretty but not functional isn't worth it to me, so I'll probably be giving away/selling this box sometime soon, unfortunately. I love how it looks, and I really can't stress that enough.Pros:+ pretty design, would look nice in most places/designs/aesthetics+ compact+ lid does actually trap litter+ managed to fit my 13lb boy cat, so would likely work for small to medium sized catsCons:- could be too tall for smaller cats to use comfortably- scooper holes are too large for thinner pellet style litter (such as Catit's pea husk litter)- locking clip is made of a flimsy plastic clip, which does not exactly inspire confidence. The lid is also not sold separately, so if the lid breaks that's basically another piece destined for the landfill...- top-entry doesn't guarantee that cats will use box as intended to prevent litter from scattering, as my cat has woefully demonstrated by jumping in and out like a bat out of hellIf this box works for you, great! It just sucks to not really have an idea of if this would or wouldn't work for you until you've tried it. I've even previously used an Amerikat top entry litter box with my boy cat before moving house and switching boxes and had a very positive experience with it, so had high hopes for this Iris box.

No mess. Dog can’t get in there. It’s perfect and easy to clean and easy access for your cat

This box is pretty big, big enough that my chunky cat has no issues entering the box and turning inside and doing what she has to do. My smaller cat kicks litter like mad, so this was a life saver. No more litter and feces thrown in every direction. Affordable and it holds a lot of litter.

Great litter box! Roomy and the top platform catches paw litter. But I also love this litter box because the walls are high for our cats who tent to pee higher!! All of our cats love this litter box! Great buy.

This worked amazing. Our older cat was not going all the way into his old box with a flap and urinating outside the box. We were stressed with all the mess. We were worried with this box; however we put him in the box twice before he had to go, and a few minutes later he went in on his own. NO MORE MESS outside the box! WIN WIN would buy this again.
