I didn’t understood the method until I attached it, it turned out really great and best part is I can move it up and down too. Fits perfectly on my 2017 Honda Civic. I got this because I have a Honda and I spilt too many drinks in the cup holder that came with the car after 4 years and it doesn’t look exactly like the one the car came with but it does he job and fits perfectly. Easy to clean because it is easier to take out and I’d say it’s a good value for the price.

Nice insert which fit perfectly in my 2021 Honda Civic, without any issues installing it: it just snapped right into place and doesn't wiggle around. The silicone coasters are a nice addition for this item, and the red trim on the coasters actually matches some of the red effects in my car.
