Ordered this to use to grow macro algae for my saltwater fish tank but never got around to actually using it and got an actual tefugium light but this thing puts out some serious light!

Works great for a saltwater refugium. My chaeto growing like a weed.

4 Stars because I was hoping it was a white light, not pink, but still nice a supplemental for extra par value, a few small clones, or very small vegging plants. This light is a one very small plant light, but for the price you can add more. I use the 1,800 watt, white cobs, 300 watt power draw from the wall, they're awesome, got three. I would estimate that you would need one of these single lights for every square foot of vegetation at 12 inches away, more or less. You will not grow a large plant with one of these lights, but like I said, 'It's a start that you can add to.'' Nice warranty, too!,

This light is perfect for one plant to grow into maturity. Very bright and great price for what you get. I will most likely be buying a second. My plant loves it. It’s very slim and lightweight with a sleek design that doesn’t leave you worrying about excess heat. I Had free 2 day delivery as well!

I kill lights by careless watering. This one takes the spray and keeps on working. One is great for plants like African violets and Phalaenopsis orchids, but several grouped together would provide light for light thirsty plants.

I couldn’t grow chaeto with my previous set up, but this light made a huge difference. It’s definitely can be hot to touch

False misleading and possibly dangerous. The unit I purchased was the 100 Watt unit but the box says 50 Watt. There is no other electrical markings or ratings on the unit. . DO NOT TRUST you will get what you ordered .The switch has an electrical rating but that is for the switch only ..... the light does not The code on the switch tells you XH303 (that is a switch product not the light) and is rated for 250 Volts which the light is not.Certifications from either ETL or UL (c-UL for Canada) are an absolute necessity before buying a grow light. These organizations are responsible for testing any electronic device to ensure it was built with proper safety standards. Installing a light, or any electronic for that matter, that wasn’t approved by a certified organization can void insurance claims if there is an accident like an electrical fire. It can also violate electrical codes in the USA and Canada, making it against the rules to use for non-residential applications and can violate contracts signed with leased buildings.
