Junk
Where do I start with this POS. The jaws are too small to fit tightly on a coupler, or an elbow piece and are too big to clamp tightly on a piece of 1/2" copper pipe. Not sure what they are supposed to fit on but it's not 1/2" American copper plumbing parts. If you are lucky enough to get the jaws to stay on so they are parallel to each other you might after 15 minutes or longer get the copper hot enough to melt the solder. The jaws are so loose they flop around when you are trying to get them around a piece of pipe. And then there is the price which is extremely overpriced for essentially a simple heater. Needless to say I am very unhappy with this product!

It works.
I really like this tool. Did several test soldering of 1/2 pipe to get an idea of how fast and well it worked. It does take longer than a flame but you won't start a fire working close to wood frame. Tool will really be great for most of the plumbing work under our home. Only thing to consider is that it did not work well when doing a shower/tub valve assembly. Much more heat is needed to get body of valve hot enough to melt solder because of the amount of metal of the valve itself. Also recommend removal of the plastic valve in the body before soldering with any tool.

I don't recommend it
I spent more than 10 minutes heating a copper tube and couldn't manage to solder it; it's very slow.

Doesn't work
Great idea, poor implementation. Jaws were too small for couplings but too big for pipe, it took forever to heat up, and it didn't have enough power. If the pipe is longer than 3" it absorbs all the heat and won't reach the solder melting point. Waste of time.

But better than burning the house down
It did the job. Little on expensive side. Needs lots lots patience. Need to keep it on the pipe for more than 1 minute. But better than burning the house down :)

Peor compra
Fue un error hacer caso los reviewsLa verdad esque no funciona como dicen para trabajar profesionalmente no sirveTarda mucho en calentarse y hay que mantener conectada todo el tiempo para que luego se tome dos minutos en calentar la pipa de cobre

Work smarter
Works as described, heating element arms need to be re-designed to be stiffer/solid for continuous use.
