This is dry cat food for indoor cats my cats love this flavor of cat food. I myself can't tell if the flavor of this cat food is of basted meat because it's not for people to eat it's for cats. Does not smell like meat or gravy it just smells like pet kibble. Easy for my cats to chew the small bits without having a problem, as with most kinds of pet food the kibble bits are in multiple shapes and color variations which haven't affected my fur babies in any negative way. I have bought this brand for the last 7 years because my cats eat it the best and it is lower cost than some cat foods and this kind has hairball control which has been very helpful.

My cats are extremely picky eaters, but Meow Mix is the only brand they’ll eat—and the Tender Centers variety is by far their favorite flavor! They come running as soon as I open the bag. Imagine learning that your cat has become allergic to the plaque on his own teeth and has to have every one of his teeth removed. Regular hard, dry foods that he could normally eat now become difficult for him to gum and swallow. After an exhausting search, I found a cat food that's more accommodating to his dietary needs that works well for my other cats. So, now he is eating well, growing strong, and becoming an all around nuisance. 1 of the bags of cat food had a hole in it and had ants all over the food causing ants bites on my hands. The other bags were fine but that 1 bag caused a mess.

My cats are very picky eaters and they love this. I have gone thru many brand and this hands down top for them. I love that it comes in 3 small bags I think once you open a bad of cat food it will be stale but thats just me.

My cats have had more than one brand of food over the years but they prefer Meow Mix. I purchased this for the value and convenience of having 4 bags at one time and that the center is softer. I imagine its easier on their teeth too.
