Are the colored pencils soft core?

I am not sure what that means. I'm sorry. Bought the art kit for a talented 14 year old artist and she is thrilled with the set. She said softer than cheaper colored pencils in store but still hard in the sense that they don't bend or anything. There are cored pencils and also water colored pencils.

It seems to be China. But the paint quality is good, I also use a tin palette which found from Amazon also made in China.I'm particularly satisfied with both products. The quality are very good.
