I read the reviews prior to buying a lot of people mentioned it was cheaply made which did not bother me as long as it served its purpose and got its intended job done. The product beeps and indicates it’s “reading” the fob but does not pass it to the fob or the cards it came with. I’m convinced it just beeps and flashes each time you press a button. Plastic feels light and hollow and doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence. One drop and that thing is shattering. That being said not only was it cheaply made it did NOT work. I tried multiple key fobs and it did not work on any of them. I highly suggest shopping around elsewhere or simply just buying directly from your apartment complex. Waste of time and money. This product also takes 2 batteries that are not included in the box. I was highly dissapointed with this product as some people said it worked for them. Save your 18$ and just try another product that’s a little more expensive and worth it. I WILL be returning product.

Works perfectly. I have a parking card that knows when you scanned in and out and this machine copied the original card exactly. Took a matter of seconds to copy

There are many types of RFID cards and this product only copies the 125kHz type. To check the type of card you have, shine a bright flashlight through the card and you should be able to see the antenna. If it is circular and much smaller than the card, congratulations, you probably have a 125kHz card and this is the product you want. If the antenna is a rounded rectangle that goes all the way around the card nearly at the edge, sorry, you probably have a 13.56MHz card and this product will not work at all for you -- I suspect that's where all the 1-star reviews come from.I highly recommend this product for the thing it was designed for :)

Despite it clearly saying it was compatible with HID cards, i could not get it to work and even then it was not super intuitive to use. Its kind of a cheap piece of junk.

Did the job - encoding fobs and key cards for my condo property. Easy to use and amazing functionality for the price.

Lol I'm laughing my *butt* off at these reviews saying "Feels cheap!" "So small!" "Just made of plastic!"Guys.... I get it you don't know tech, fine, but you need to understand that the RFID read/writer inside is like the size of a quarter and weighs less than one. It's not supposed to be heavy and reinforced it's a computer chip not a rocket people. The only reason it's even the size it is or has a plastic shell on the outside of it at all, that's 20x the size of the chip inside btw, is so it will fit in your hand! Smh.Anyway the product WORKS. And if it isn't working your card or fob is a different frequency than the product (it speaks a different language). Which is outlined in the description of the product!! Google is your friend guys.
