Does it take the bags to do toasted sandwiches?

Just! But the top sticks out, it doesn't take a 'normal' slice from a loaf, don't know why anyone would make a toaster that doesn't do that, bought it to replace a previous Russell Hobbs, was very disappointed 

How wide are the toasting slots please? In mm.

The width 4mm x 14mm length I find that it does not take all bread size, Warburtons does not fit properly, so top does not brown, smaller sized loaf fits better, apart from that, toaster is ok.

How deep are the toasting slots?

Not deep enough, average slice from a sliced loaf of bread 13cm, depth of slot 11cm! Pointless
