Pyroflam casserole dish
I was thrilled to see these casserole dishes , in the '60's I bought several dishes similar to these dishes with all the same properties, they had a little blue flower on them. I am still using them although over the years I have chipped the old ones. I have a handle for them and this can be transferred between dishes a great help when lifting from stove top to oven or removing from hot oven. I would really like to see Pyroflam marketing a handle for these dishes too. Well I must say I am not at all disappointed with my purchase. I heat on the top of my Rayburn , soften onions and make sauces etc then transfer to oven. I love the way I can place dish in fridge or freezer then place in hot oven to be transferred to table. Well worth the money. I have also purchased the steamer , very smart piece of crockery. You won't be disappointed with these dishes , such a great help for busy people who need to cook meals straight from the freezer. Delighted with my purchase. Still using the ones from the '60's too.

Brilliant Multipurpose Casserole Dish
I bought this product, because it claimed it could go into the oven as well as be used on the hob, and I have to say after using it in/on both it works like a dream. You can also bring it straight from the fridge as well, which is a bonus if you've prepared a meal the previous night. I just love it, especially since it's also so easy to clean, because my last supermarket bought casserole dish was a complete bear to clean. I've also dropped it a couple of time when putting it away, which I wouldn't recommend lol, but it's so strong it didn't break or crack. The only thing it did do was break a ceramic oven dish (dropped putting it back into the bottom of the cupboard), and secondly falling on the Lino (good job it was coming from the sink rather than the cooker). I'm so pleased with Its multipurposeness that I've purchased the 2 litre one as well.

Good to see Pyroflam back at last!
I love my Pyroflam casseroles and dishes, the only things that go in the oven, on the hob or in the microwave. They're easy to clean too, after a little soak if necessary. This small one is just the right size for a two-person family. At £15 this wasn't cheap, but no other dish is as versatile.I hope that one day they'll find a way to make the lids equally indestructible - if you drop them they shatter. I have more casseroles than lids!It would also be nice if they made the dishes in colours so they would look better on the table.

Lovely size
Bought two of these to replace a couple of plastic microwave pans. Not used on the hob and probably never will, so cannot comment on job performance. Nice to know if I accidentally put it on the hot hob, it would not harm it though. However, they were a doddle to use in the microwave. Not to heavy, as I suffer hand, arm, neck, shoulder and back pain.I could easily tip out any excess water after cooking veg. They didn’t stain, after reheating Chillie and washed brilliant.Comes with a nice instruction book, which I suggest you read if planning using on the job.Smart for serving at the table. All in all, I would buy again and am thinking of getting the next size up. When my older large Pyrex casserole gives up the ghost, l will buy the large one of these.

Cracking Dish
Have used Pyroflam for a number of years (and Acroflam before that). The dishes can take extreme temperature and can be used directly on the hob etc. However, the material is very brittle and can easily chip. Ordered a new dish to replace a broken dish. On first use however (cooking frozen peas in microwave), the glass lid disintegrated while just lifting off the centre of the lid. There was no obvious flaws in the glass but clearly something amiss for this to happen.Amazon very helpful and secured a refund for what was clearly a faulty item but question the quality control. These dishes are certainly not the same quality as the older Acroflam.

Poor quality - lid cracked completely on 1st use
Cooked a casserole for my 6 month old in the oven at 140 and the lid cracked … contacted the seller, no response. Frankly I’d give the seller and the product a miss

Wish I'd found these years ago
Wish I'd found these years ago and would never have bought another pan set in my life. So versatile. Can be used on my ceramic hob, in the microwave, in the oven and can be put in the dishwasher. If something gets stuck on the base, a quick soak and it floats off - no scouring needed. The only slight disadvantage is draining vegetables - probably the safest way is to tip water and veg into a colander. I've found that with two silicon pot holders, the lid can be pushed back a little and then I can tip the pot and drain as I would with a pan. I've found tipping it towards me (over the sink) is the easiest on my hands. I've now got 5 of these in assorted sizes, plus a roaster. Need to save my pennies for another small one like this.
