Q: Has anyone used this product when drilling through stainless? If so how did it preform?

Haven’t used it on stainless but used it on mild steel 1/4 steel plate made the bits go through like butter works great hope this helps

Q: What is the difference between the soft blue, and medium blue versions?

I don't know for sure, but I think the "soft" refers to the fact that it is more of a "goo" than a "paste"... and the "medium" is more paste-like. For the small quick drilling applications I use it for, the soft works fine. Just dip the drill bit in the goo and it sticks pretty well. Maybe the paste wouldn't stick so well? Again, just a guess, but seems right from what I could read online.
