I own a pair of light weight Nikon binoculars for taking abroad and I own an old pair of Gelert (the camping people) 10x50 bins, which have been good for the money. The focusing wheel had become very stiff and so I was looking for a replacement. The Canon ones looked good but in the end I went for the Nikon brand, not least because I snapped up a warehouse deal at £52. The box was a little damaged but the contents were perfect. Anyway, the focusing wheel is easy to use and I immediately noticed a new clarity and brightness in viewing objects though these. I hadn't realised how I had been avoiding my old bins and using the less powerful portable ones. These are very nicely weighted and shaped and well up to Nikon quality. Even at £70 I would be very happy.

Clear but coloured
Overall, a good product at a reasonable price.Clear, bright image and easy to focus. A bit bulky and not exactly lightweight but as expected since they're not roof prism. They come with a comfortable carry strap, lens caps and a simple, soft case.Main problem is chromatic aberration: colour fringing that is irritating especially when viewing birds at some distance.

Good quality, great value
Very good value for money. A little heavy & bulky, but for the price give excellent results. I use them mainly for bird watching, and find them very satisfactory. You would have to pay quite a lot more to get any that are significantly better. There are Nikon 10 x 40s that are also good, and a bit smaller, but you sacrifice quite a bit if light with these, and I would then go for the 8x32s.

Nikon Action V11 Series Binoculars 10 x 50
Being a person who enjoys bird photography and needing a reasonably priced of Binos to identify birds that are just too far away for the naked eye i was more than pleased when these arrived on my doorstep well packaged and very well made they have a feeling of quality and build and should last me for years to come so at the price i really cant fault them the clarity is really good and when i first looked through them i was very pleased indeed even had the wow factor for me i am no expert on binoculars but they are perfect for my needs and i would throughly recommend them so if like me you did not want to break the bank on binos go for these they are excellent!

Extremely good value
I've always had a use for a pair of binoculars, but not so as to end up spending a small fortune on,ive generally been satisfied with what i've purchased in the past and they have served their purpose .I recently purchased another cheap pair after good reviews and although the were bright and reasonably clear to the eye ,they were so difficult to set up ie get focused and to get the two sides to merge easily i gave in and purchased these, never have i made such a good choice ,you really do get what you pay for with binoculars(and these are the cheapest range that Nikon do) clear great clarity ,sharp and smooth controls, for the money a great buy, cant praise enough at this level, just as an aside i have used top of range Leitz etc costing 500 to over a 1000 pounds and yes they are superior but you have to as with anything justify the layout against what your using them for,for me these are more than adequate.

Dissapointed
I was expecting better from Nikon optics however these binoculars suffer significant colour aberration. i.e. Everything down the left of the field of view has a yellow shadow and everything down the right has purple. Back to Amazon they go...

A quality product as expected from Nikon
I bought the Nikon Binoculars to replace an aging 10X50 Miranda pair which I regarded as OK but my wife found to be lacking in vision clarity. What a difference when we used the Nikon product. Sharp in focus images, I have a Nikon Digital Camera which serves me well. My only regret is that Nikon products are mainly manufactured in China or other Far East Counties. This is a reasonably priced quality product.
