A quality product
The portable A/C was a necessity after year over year sweltering days with a window giving little breeze on the top floor apartment. The set up was pretty easy. The tube is a bit large and caused some need to pull back out and reinstall but the amount of sticky foam for sealing around the slider window allowed me to reposition it and reinstall. The tube is a necessary component to all A/C like these portable ones but can take up space and can't be kinked to allow flow as stated in the manual. It cools the room fast and I expected to need to drain it often but so far it hasn't needed it. The plug to drain is on the bottom of the unit and comes with a small length of plastic tube to drain automatically if you have a drain situated nearby.

Puts out of very cold air and easy to move
I'm loving this unit, I have windows that slide side to side and it has been a struggle to seal the gap during big storms. Basically use a lot of duct tape. The plastic track makes it easy to pop in and out or buy a vinyl window protector with it. They are much easier because it's velcro on.We've been using it for over a week and I haven't drained it and I find the noise level normal for an a/c until. Also easy to move around.

Comparable to a window unit 8/10
I couldn’t find any reviews comparing this air conditioner to a window unit. I’d like to share that I’ve only had my unit for a little over a weeks now but so far I really like it. At my apartment complex, they do not allow window units without a special permission and I didn’t want to go through that trouble so I went ahead and purchased this portable unit, that didn’t take any altering to my window aside from the panel to vent air. This portable unit is just almost just as cold as the kind that sit on the window sill. I was worried that it wouldn’t be the same type of cold but it’s very comparable!!!! I’m so happy it takes about 30 mins the first time you turn it on to completely get cold and work full capacity but after that it’s cold as soon as you turn it on. The remote is very convenient. It was very easy to install. It took me about 20 minutes. the window attachment for the vent has a clip which allows it to hold in place once you adjust to the size/length you need. This made installation so fast and easy. NO TOOLS REQUIRED!!! I will say it is quite noisey compared to other units I’ve used in the past. It can be a bit annoying in times when you prefer no noise. I’ve caught myself a few times needing to shut off the unit because I get annoyed by the noise which is one of the downsides.I just moved to an upstairs room and it gets soooo hot now so I bought this. i need to make sure my dog is ok when I leave for work. This does the job and keeps my room chilly. It’s soooo worth it and the wheels make it easy to move around and it looks of quality. I’ll say it again, this unit is pretty much just as good as the window units. It gets CHILLY 🥶❄️ try it!!

Works great. Easy to use. Good value. A little noisy.
I work from home using one bedroom as a home office. The room is upper floor and faces south west so it gets the afternoon sun. Also computers can add a degree or 2 to room temperature and so its quite warm in summer.8000 btu unit works great making the room very comfortable. On cool you can select your temperature and it will get there and turn off and then back on again if it needs to.As it seems a little noisy I was afraid it would be too loud if I have web meetings but I have a decent headset and coworkers say they dont hear anything. so if you are in that situation do not worry.I have been using it a couple weeks and I am quite happy. It was worth the purchase for sure. Even though a little noisy because it does not interfere with my work at all and works great I am giving it 5 stars

Love love love this thing!
Purchased in 2019 for use during summer in Alaska. Moved to Texas in 2024 and after 1 year of almost daily use, it's still going as strong! The exhaust tube was replaced, a generic one purchased and retrofit on to ends from the old tube. No drainage, easy to vacuum and a very sensitive surge protector on the plug. The plug usually resets itself and it seems to go off a split second before other items or a power outage. I've rolled it around on carpet without issue. I can't say anything bad about this unit, it's been my saving grace in Texas

Heavy, LOUD, hard to install, ugly
I bought this 3 years ago, but it only made it 2 years. The tubing that connects this ridiculously heavy unit to the window broke the first year. I was able to use it with Duct tape the 2nd year, but then it completely broke. It was painfully loud, and never shut off, even at the right temp setting. It gets 3 stars only bc it cooled my bedroom. Also, a nightmare to install. Had to cut the side flaps with an electric saw (not in my wheelhouse as a single girl) to fit my window. Also huge, ugly and an eyesore.
