What is the inner diameter of the fitting?

Not sure why the manufacturers couldn’t just tell us the ID of these items! what i’ve figured out (from buying the wrong cap of course) is pipe designated as “schedule NN” will have a larger ID than pipe designated as Sewer and Drain. the “schedule” designation refers to the wall thickness of the pipe, for pipes which will be used under pressure. So the nominally “six inch” Sewer and Drain pipe commonly used for clean outs on storm drains or septic tanks has a 6” ID. Adding in the wall thicknesses the OD of the pipe will measure about 6.25”. So the cap will need to be 6 5/16” to slip over the S&D pipe. The “6” Schedule cap well measure at about 6 3/4”, so will fit, but a little sloppy. but hey, that’s what duct tape is for, eh?

Is this a double female elbow?

Yes Both sides are exactly the same. Good item nice and sturdy.

Where do I find pipe that will fit this? Schedule 40 is too big and as it is the same size as the openings on this!

The only pipe that I have found that fits these was at Home Depot in the runoff ground drain drop down tube. Only available in about 3 or 4 foot sections. I found the manufacturers name and address on some of these tubes and tried to contact them VIA the interweb but did not get any answers or further information but that resource only sells the short piece product. No long sections. Good luck. I gave up, One other option may be to get a drainage product called a "Band Aid" it is a rubber sleeve with stainless Steel screw type clamping bands. I have used them on smaller drain pipe ie. 3&4 inch. I have not looked for the 6 inch. These will not hold any significant pressure though.

Could i use this for a portable air conditioner vent hose?

The fittings is made from PVC material. There is not way for me to know if it will work for an air conditioner vent hose.
