Calphalon quality from an honest seller
I love this pan, and Calphalon pans in general. I have six—8”, 10”, and 12” sizes, two of these pans are almost 30 year old; they’re well-seasoned and still look very nice. I do, however, take excellent care of all of my cookware. The Everyday pan is convenient because of the two short handles. Not as heavy as the 12” Unison or the 12” Signature pans. I bought the Everyday Pan because of the great price. It was labeled as ‘used,’ but only the box was very slightly damaged. As was described, the pan was in excellent, never-used condition. A great buy at $45.99, and I would buy from that seller again. The Everyday pan heats evenly and cleans up nicely. I do not put my Calphalon pans in the dishwasher because they do clean up very easily. I’ve only used the pan twice, so far—a cheesy cream-sauce shrimp and spinach bow-tie pasta dish, and a stir-fry variation of a Filipino pancit (like lo mein) dish. They cooked up excellently with even heat distribution, no sticking, no burning. I like that I could place the pan on a hot plate/trivet directly on the dining table and serve the meal from the pan. It works and looks very nicely as a serving container without a long awkward handle in the way.

Great Pan - love the 12" size and lid
I purchased a 10pc of this set and loved it so much, I wanted a 12in lid to go with it. I couldn't find the 12in lid by itself at a decent price. This set goes on sale or reduced price regularly. Use a price tracking service to catch it on sale. I would highly recommend this pan as well as the entire Calphalon Signature Hard Anodized nonstick set. I have used cheap pans, $20 for a set of 3, for years. Buying a new one when the old one stopped working. I decided to get a nice set and I have not been happier at how they cook. They heat evenly, the lids fit, and the cleanup is paper towel clean. Nothing sticks or if it does, just a few mins in water and out it comes.I have yet to put mine in the dishwasher or use metal utensils but it says you can. I'll wait a few years before I do either of those. The only con is that they are on the heavy side. This provides even heat for cooking but for those that might have a hard time with weight, this could be an issue.

My go-to pan, It's my favorite!
I am no stranger to high quality cookware. This is an ideal pan for sautéing or making breakfast. It does take a bit longer to heat up than my 5-ply 18/10 Stainless pans, but that's not a big deal. I take great care of it because I love it so much. I never use heat higher than medium high on the stovetop, I only use silicone utensils, and it's strictly hand washed. Yes, the manual says you can use metal utensils with it and it's dishwasher safe, but I've never known a non-stick pan that didn't scratch while using metal. Also, many dishwashing detergents have lemon or some other corrosive ingredient in in that will for sure wear away at the pan's coating. So, I'll stick with hand washing. I'd definitely recommend this pan.** Edit 01/19/2021 - I’ve had this almost 2 1/2 years, and it STILL doesn’t have a single scratch and remains in perfect condition. I use it practically everyday. Spectacular quality, BUY IT!** Edit 02/18/2023 - 4 1/2 years later and still in perfect shape! I’ve since bought a 2nd pan because I cook a lot! I love that they’re oven safe. I make pizza in them and they slide right out! Love that.

Best Pan EVER
I have had them all, and I like this the best. All Clad, Le Creuset, cast iron, stainless, non-stick, you name it. I've had all of them. I even had an earlier iteration of this pan, and it lasted 9 years, but the surface, while good, was not nearly as good as this pan. I have made many, many things in this pan, and everything, from sauted chicken to hash browns to roasted tomatoes and artichokes, turns out beautifully, on the stove, in the oven, and under the broiler. After countless washings with my nylon brush, it shows no marks whatsoever. I immediately bought an 8-inch saute pan in the same line to complement it, and I love that, too. Pictured here is half of a perfect 4-egg omelet that I made this morning. I make good omelets, but this is restaurant quality, perfectly turned, and turned out. I thought my All-Clad everyday pan would go with me to the desert island, but now I think it will be this pan. The surface is superior to the All-Clad hard anodized soup pot I recently purchased. You cannot go wrong with this Calphalon pan. I've had the rest. Now I have the best.

Excellent sauce pan with 1 major design flaw (2QT)
Love this line of pans. We have 3 others. Heavy! But I'd rather have durability over lighter weight. Very easy to clean and the handle does not get hot as a reviewer mentioned. Maybe if you are using multiple burners and one of those burners is under the handle, then yes, it'll get hot, but thats user error. Also, the coat wearing away is unusual and should be exchanged for a new one. As I mentioned, I have 4 of these pans and no issues with the coating scratching/peeling off. Sounds again like user error or maybe its because we treat our pans well. Hand wash only, soft scrub pad for cleaning (because you never need anything rougher, nothing sticks) and only wood and silicone utensils... no metal. Its just common sense, you will eventually scratch through a surface if you use something abrasive like scotch green pad or metal utensil - who cares how its advertised, its physics.Anyways, the main reason for this review is to point out an annoying design flaw to the lid of the 2QT pan. The design for the underside edge has a small lip, and on the inside of that lip water gets trapped. This is just poor design because instead of being able to hand dry, I have to wait at least a day for it to dry up on the drying rack. I contacted Calphalon about this and unfortunately Calphalon uses outsourced customer service so there was little chance of me getting some answers. They did send me a replacement lid, same issue, but now I just alternate lids, yes its silly but I can't return it and I don't think they make a different type of glass lid. See picture for reference.
