i thnk that Phillips states it is 1400W but i measured with 2 different “wattmeters” and never got anything but short (less than 5 seconds) spikes to 1300 and warm up and brew between 1100 and 1200. YMMV

Can i use the machine without the water filter? I live in South america and I worry that from time to time i won't be able to get the filters.

Deactivating the AquaClean filter If you do not want to use Philips AquaClean water filter anymore you can always deactivate the AquaClean reminder. Follow the steps below: 1. Press the ON/OFF button to switch off the machine. 2. Press and hold the AquaClean icon until the light in this icon switches on. The start/stop light starts to blink 3. Tap the AquaClean icon again to deactivate the reminders. The light in the AquaClean icon will go off. 4. Press the start/stop button to confirm your choice. 5. Press the on/off icon to switch on the machine again. The AquaClean reminders will be off now. Note: The activation of a new AquaClean filter will automatically re-activate the AquaClean reminders.
