How long can this product be used?

Indefinitely unless you have a dog or puppy that is a real chewer then maybe that would be a different story.

Is this product really as good as advertised?

First of all it costs $7 so it can only be so good from any perspective but our Yorkie loves them (he's gone thru more than one). If your dog is an agressive chewer it may not last long but it does give out a nice grunt and is a fun toy most likely for smaller dogs.
