Valve Index Replacement Tether VR Cable Kit for Virtual Reality Headset

The only reason you would buy from a scalper is because theyve (as usual) exhausted any legit sources like the steam store or valve does not ship parts to your location. In which case, youre in luck, the cable is legitimate and works as expected when I bought one. Just remember that youre paying a marked up price because there arent many other choices.

Arrived to New Zealand with two replacement cable "clips" for the back of the headset which was nice, works great.. a bit pricey but great alternative for when you haven't got the available shipping from Valve themselves! Awesome stuff!!

Over a year or so of use, the tether for my Index developed a crimp that ultimately resulted in it failing to connect to my PC, so I ordered this replacement; however upon opening the box that it came in, I immediately noticed that it was wound far too tight and had already developed a significant crimp in the cable.I tried it out and lo and behold, my headset did not connect. Not much else to say about this.

Incorrect description. Only pig tail. No headset cable. What a joke.
