Amika Curl Corps Enhancing Gel Unisex, 6.7 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)

I just got a perm for the first time in my life (I have very straight hair and needed a change) and my stylist had this at her station. She recommended I get it to maintain my perm and style it every day. I use about 2 quarter size drops of it for my whole head so I’m sure the bottle will last a good amount of time. It does not take long at all to scrunch it (not even 3 minutes) and I’m headed out the door. Good value for the money. It maintains the curls through the whole day and it isn’t too crunchy and stiff like other products. It has a nice subtle smell too. I’m happy with it and will purchase more before I run out of it.

My hair has always been super dry and the coloring doesn’t help. I use to put leave in hair treatment mouse a long with curling soufflé and about a half a can of hairspray to make it not frizzy and keep the curls in tact. This product was great I just used the treatment this product and figured my hair and it was great my hair was light and full and the feeling was incredibly soft. Downfall for me is I am not use to soft fluffy hair so I kept touching it and made it a little frizzy but I’m sure over time I will get use to it. Super amazing product and so glad my friend told me about it.

I stumbled on the Amika brand and I'm glad I did. I have curly hair and I'm really happy with it. This line doesn't make my hair frizzy. My hair soaks up product but this seems to be "thick" enough for my hair but not heavy to weigh it down.

This is a very lightweight gel for curly styling and makes my hair very soft when combined with the leave in conditioner in the same line. I apply it to very wet hair, the wetter the better for increased moisturizing effect and softness. Love the scent as well. It doesn't create a hard cast like other gels, I may switch to my other thicker gels when its very humid, but this one is so nice its hard to switch. If I need to boost my curls the 2nd and 3rd days I sometimes add a little of this gel with water in my hands to rejuvenate the curls.

Pros- smells great, like most products in the Amika line, in my experience. Leaves hair soft and feels nourishing to my hair. A good product if you’re looking for a light hold that doesn’t leave your hair crunchy. A dab’ll do ya! This gel is silky and spreads through your hair easily. Better value in that respect.Cons- Cannot stand up to humidity. My curls separated and frizzed out within an hour of application (My biggest complaint). I live in Kentucky, which can be pretty humid in the summer. Leaves a dandruff like residue at the end of the day, so wouldn’t be great for people that don’t wash their hair daily. Doesn’t work on dry hair, so don’t even go there.

I have fine thinning very curly hair. My favorite curl cream company was bought out and product discontinued some years back.I had all but given up on finding a good cream or gel. I don’t know if my hair has ever looked so good natural with this gel. My hair is not dry, frizzy, crunchy or weighed down when using this . Just try it. Free returns if needed but I doubt you will.
