Is the 6-port model (part #ax-flch-b) ul certified? if so, can someone take a photo of the ul certification on the unit itself?

there is no option to include a photo on this reply but I can assure you that I checked and it's on both the package and the device (charger) they work flawlessly .

2.4 x 6 = 14.4 so listing saying total 6 ports at 2.4 is saying can handle more than 12amps. ???

The product description says, " up to 12 amps among 6 ports OR 2.4 amps per port." So if you're pulling 2.4 on each port, you can only use 5 of them.

Does this product contain any plastic that could melt if it overheats?

no external plastic parts that I can see. Might be internal parts in addition to the recepticals.
