Q: Will these fit a smaller, fine boned quarter horse (14h3) ?

I have one of those, and yes, these fit her just fine! They really work...though I have learned to iron on black denim patched to the front so that they wear much, much longer.

Q: What size do these realistically fit? Looking for a 17h+ WB

Fetlock shields are adjustable and will fit adult horses up to large warmbloods. Standard horses weigh 800 to 1100 pounds warmbloods weigh from 1100 up to about 1800 pounds so the fetlock shields should fit with no problem.

Q: What is the best way to clean these?

Don’t know if best way, but I get hair off of them and run them through the washing machine. My gelding has been in them awhile and they seem to wash nicely. Hope this helps.

Q: Has anyone used these for shoe boils? Looking for and alternative to the donut.

I used these very successfully for abrasions to the front of the joint above the pastern, which also helps them from landing on knees too hard, but a shoe boil is usually caused by the heel striking the elbow. These will not prevent that.
