Duralex Made In France Picardie Tumbler Set of 6,16.87 oz

The perfect everyday glass. I’ve bought these numerous times in the past and they’re so durable. I’ve even accidentally dropped one onto a tile floor and it didn’t even chip (maybe I just got lucky) but I was impressed!

We discovered Duralex decades ago and love them. Their heat treated tempered glass is very durable. They can break but you really have to work at it.

I’ve had these for over five years and never even chipped one. Recently started freezing a bit of water in the instead of using ice trays, no issues. Just extremely good quality, and I also recommend Homer Laughlin plates that I got from goodwill

These glasses were replacement glasses from the same company that we had for about 30 years, and we were afraid that, with that age, they were becoming brittle, even though only one just broke recently. They arrived on time and in perfect condition, very well packed. Are, however, quite a bit heavier than the original old glasses.

I like the design of the glasses, and I like how they feel in the hand. I was going to buy the coffee mugs, they looked good to, but not anymore. About 30 minutes ago, I picked up a glass that was until then unused, and it exploded in my hand when I touched it. I have never had this happen before. I looked it up and found that the 'exploding glasses' phenomenon is not uncommon. I was cut on both hands, my face, and it scared hell out of the cat. (He is still hiding) If the manufacturer could tell me how common this is, I could make an informed decision as to whether or not I should keep the rest, or toss them. I like the glasses, but now don't trust using them. The glasses came in a set of six as I recall. Being a bachelor, I used, washed, and re-used the same two glasses for about a month. The others were untouched after washing. All of the glasses went through the dishwasher when they arrived, but only two were 'in circulation'. I hope this helps whoever might respond.

Best drinking glasses I’ve ever owned. Wish I’d discovered them years ago. But better late than never.
