Simple DIY fix for your Kirby! You can do this!
This fit my machine and was an easy project to replace the impeller that was damaged. I am an elderly female that does a lot of diy projects to save money. You tube helps but also ensure you have the correct parts numbers from Kirby manuals. This was exactly what I needed to make my Kirby work better and not sound like a jet engine. It was a lot cheaper to do it myself and the parts looked exactly like the original damaged parts. The repair has lasted over 6 months now.

wrong size
I was repairing the fan assembly on my Kirby G4D. The part is listed as fitting the Kirby older Generation models. IT DOES NOT! The hole is too narrow to fit the shaft of the Generation models. I took it to a Kirby repair shop. The owner said it is not an OEM product endorsed by Kirby. It was yellowish in color and the logo was wrong. He stated they would be white even a little greyish but not yellow. He sold me the correct part for $22. He did not reccomend drilling the hole larger since this would compromise the parts strength and it would break within a couple weeks. Also the machine would possibly be loud and it could damage the machine. My older fan part was firmly on and it took WD40 and the help of a second set of hands to wiggle and pull it loose. Do not try prying under the blade. As another reviewer stated, It will damage the shaft. I replaced the fan blade on another Kirby and I had to remove the handle assembly (which is held on by 2 screws on top) to reach the motor shaft with a 9mm wrench to keep it from turning while I unscrewed the old end piece. Hope this helps it was a very easy repair. Remember to purchase a tube of selant.

Mostly good
I needed a fan for one of my Kirby's since the original was totally wore out and out of balance. The kit arrived quickly as expected. Took a bit of beating to get the new fan blade on. I tried using the included 'nut/belt drive' but the bore was too small and just would not go on the shaft. My old one was ok so just reused it and now my old Kirby is one sucking machine again!

Didn't fit perfectly but made it work.
Inside hole didn't fit perfectly until I touched it up with a Dremel. Very slight misfit. Ready to install- now works fine. (It's supposed to be tight, do NOT Dremel too much. Had to use oil and a gentle hammering technique to get it to slip on but remain tight.) Worth it to me for the value to save a few bucks on parts.

Thread not fitting
Good Day.1- The propeller bore was too tight. I polished it, to fit.2- The "nut" locking the propeller to the shaft, that also drives the carpet-brush via a flat belt. Would not fit onto the left-hand thread/ motor-shaft.

Wrecked my GENERATION 3 vacuum - DON'T BUY THIS ONE!
I did not look at the other unsatisfied reviews until I had already tried to install this fan on my GEN-3 Kirby. The bolt holes are too small and so is one on the fan. I tried tapping the bolts down the shaft, thinking it was intended to be tight. WRONG! Now I can't get it apart to correct the problem.Spend a few dollars more at another seller, and save yourself hours, trying to make the wrong part fit.
