Yes. It works well on plastic. Just turn the stroke adjustment down. Practice on a piece of scrap to make sure you have a correct adjustment.

Will it work well on brass? Want to engrave compass cover for graduation gift. Thx.

I used it to engrave metal chairs so will definitely work on brass.
