Great aRGB controller for computers without native aRGB headers.
I got this controller to use in my old PC before selling it to add a bit of flash so it would be a more appealing sale. The controller worked perfectly, I did need to purchase a USB header to MicroUSB cable to hook the controller up to my motherboard to allow for software control of the controller so you dont have to open the case to change the aRGB settings, and I do wish that cable was included...but it doesnt take away from it working perfectly. The controller worked well without that cable, however I think it would be a pain to constantly open the case to change any aRGB settings, so I got the cable, which at first didnt work but I needed to do was a simple driver update for the controller and then it was discovered in windows immediately. This controller was used to control 3 aRGB fans...2 EK Vardar Evo as part of an EKAIO 240mm, and 1 CoolerMaster Sickleflow aRGB fan as rear exhaust. It worked great to control all of them. The coolermaster software is not great, but its certainly better to have that option then not. All in all, this helped me to sell my old PC at a price higher then expected, and the buyer was ECSTATIC with how it looked.

Works Perfectly! But there is a catch
I just want to start off by saying that this is a product intended for CoolerMaster Fans, however it does use universal ports (ARGB Gen 2 port to be exact)So at first I thought this product was a scam because it didn't work with my ASUS TUF motherboard even though it says it's supported. YOU MUST PLUG THE CONTROLLER TO THE COMPUTER WITH A MINI USB CABLE!! After you plug everything into the controller (Including SATA power), you just have to plug it in via USB once for about 1 minute for the drivers to install. After that, you don't have to plug it in again. since I didn't have a USB header, I just plugged it in with my side panel open and unplugged it when it was done. The controller does not come with a Mini USB cable, so if you don't already have one, you're going to need one if you want this to work with your motherboard

Works with CM software but needs firmware update first
If you're wondering if this product works with the Cooler Master Master+ software so you don't have to pay $60 for the more expensive one: it does work. However, you'll need a USB 2.0 (motherboard pinout) to Micro USB cable. This product does have a port for micro USB but it doesn't come with the cable. Fortunately I had a spare one on hand and was able to update the firmware and it was recognized after that, so I was able to use the software for my Cooler Master halos.I ended up returning this for a different brand where I can connect all my RGB stuff to it and control them that way. But just be warned, if yoh want to use this CM controller to control your RGB in the CM software, you'll need a USB to Micro for your motherboard to connect to this controller, so be sure to have one on hand or buy one with this purchase.

Didn't work for me, Tomahawk B450 Mobo
Bought this to hook up CM Masterfan MF120 Halo fan to the back of my case and illuminate the RGB. I have a Tomahawk B450 motherboard with only RGB ports and the fan is aRGB, so I had to buy this. I hooked everything up according to the very poor instructions (seek YouTube if you want more clarity). The controller illuminated my fan but did nothing to control the colors, the buttons just straight-up didn't work. Using software isn't possible since I can't hook this up to my mobo because it's only RGB and not aRGB. I tried hooking this up via USB but it was unresponsive on my PC.

It works as expected
The media could not be loaded. I bought this as I made the mistake of buying individual CM mf120r argb fans (instead of the 3 pack which included this, or the pro which is just RGB and supported by my mobo) connecting them was easy, figuring out a way to use the controller if it was on the inside of the case was another, so I opted to just keep the controller outside till I figured out the MasterPlus software which the controller is compatible with out of the box IF you attach it to a usb port (micro usb). Material quality seems alright, the plastic case of the controller seems a little on the thin side, buttons arent as crisp as I'd want them but they do the job.

Be careful, over-drives LEDs
Works well for adding ARGB LED control via your PC. However, you MUST use the cooler master software, which does not sync with Aura Sync by ASUS, which is a little misleading considering the logo is on the page and on the box. The reason they say it's compatible with motherboard software is because there is an ARGB passthrough port so you can connect your motherboard's ARGB to the controller... Which defeats the purpose of the product...Also, it seems like the controller is over-driving the LEDs on my Antec Prizm fans, because at full brightness white appears to have a yellow tinge on only some of the LEDs, and they get a little warm to the touch. However, setting them to ~80% brightness returns them to a neutral uniform white and they cool down a bit. The controller that came with my fans originally definitely doesn't do this. I would advise anyone who bought this to not run your LEDs at full brightness, because it's possible that it could lead to an early death for your LEDs. All that being said, for the money it's ok, but it's not the best. You're probably better off with the Razer or Corsair equivalents even though they are double the cost.

Great easy way to control aRGB fans!
It is a great incognito way of controlling my aRGB fans. My motherboard doesn't have an aRGB header (first build) and this was a great way of controlling it. My case came with one but I didn't quite have a way to hook it up properly so I ordered this and it's perfect. Had to make sure that I had a micro usb plugged into it at all times to control it, but after some minor tinkering it worked out great

Bought D-rgb ? Get this!
If bought d-rgb/argb stuff by accident and your motherboard doesn't have the appropriate 5v 3pin head this is what you need.compact size, powered with sata, comes with rgb and fan splitters. Does NOT include micro USB cable for updating.and if your mobo does have the appropriate headers it also comes with pass through for gigabyte asrock and asus
