Q: Will this fit the express whole house filter system? It too has 20" filters.

If you have the dimensions of the filter AND the housing, a quick check of the dimensions should tell you what you need to know. Mine are in a "Big Blue" filter housing and work fine. A quick tip... When the instructions say, "Tighten filter housing hand tight." they mean hand tight. Using a filter wrench to tighten it will wrinkle the O-ring and it WILL leak.

Q: Does it matter which end you put up? I see a plastic ring on one end. Bad fit, after 2 tries w/leaks put in an iSpring filter and all was good.

I have Never had that problem, I have used these for over 2 years in my Pentek Big Blue series canister system and they work great!

Q: Can I wash these for reuse before replacing?

Washing them won't hurt them, but you will not be able to get them clean. Even a pressure washer won't remove all of the impurities from a 1 micron filter.

Q: These state they are Pentek 155358-43 replacement, that is a 5 micron filter, Pentek 155360-43 is 1 micron, which is it?

First of all they are different part numbers. Second there are both 5 and 1 micron filters for Pentek systems. Depending on how much particulate matter is in you water you may want either the 5 or 1 micron filter. That said, in all likelihood you will have to change the 1 micron filter more frequently than the 5 micron filter.
