Works great keeping our RV door open.
We had a 90-degree door opening unit that failed in the heavy wind. It blew the door open and broke the mechanism on the bottom of the door. I ordered this unit because I wanted the door fully open against the RV body. It was easy to install, and it works great keeping the door and screen door in the open position. The wind doesn't seem to affect its performance at all. I would recommend it for RV's although it says it was designed for boats. It's made of stainless steel, so there is no rust or tarnish associated with it. After I drilled the pilot holes for the screws, I put a little Gorilla glue in the holes to secure the screws. It worked great. I would buy this unit again.

This thing is sturdy!
Bought it to hold a gate at the top of my deck stairs open. And it HOLDS! You have to give it a good tug to loosen it, which is what I was looking for. I just put it up a few days ago, so I can't comment on durability, but I'm thinking it's going to last.

Easy to install, just spread the opening a little so it still grabs, yet is not so tight. Works perfectly.

Attached it to side of our camper to hold door open with wind gusts. Adhered it with some clear silicone to stop leaks…..let it set for a day …works perfect !
