Great value.
Exceeded my expectations! There are many clones of this crossbow model.I opted for this Bear model because it came with 60 lbs. vs. 80 lbs. limbs. For my purpose, the bolt negligible speed difference is inconsequential, and is more than made up buy the gentler cocking force. This crossbow is well made and surprisingly accurate plenty powerful. The only negative I can think of, is that they could have included a few more bolts.P.S. I'll still give it a 5 star, but I have to report that after just a little use, the latch-lever that releases the cocking stock, broke. This defect has been reported as a common problem. I can why, it is a design flaw. Where it gave way, the plastic is very thin, and bound to easily break.I replaced the latch with one I made out of metal.

Great little backyard crossbow
I got this crossbow for my husband so we could shoot in our backyard. He uses this while I shoot my bow and arrows. It's a fun bonding evening. He was able to assemble this crossbow in our living room using the supplied tools. It did take both of us to get the string installed, but it was not an issue. It's shoots as expected. I wouldn't expect to be taking down large game with this, BUT it will do some serious damage.Husband likes the self-cocking mechanism and that the crossbow has the picatinny rails for mounting different sights, handles, lights, etc. The body of the crossbow is mostly a hard plastic composite material. The bow is metal. The rear sight that came with it is kind of cheap, but it functions. Considering it was only $50 and our use is completely target shooting, I'm extremely happy with the purchase.

This thing is serious....not a toy.
For its size this is a powerful little crossbow. Much stronger than I thought it would be. Can easily be used for pest control. Surprisingly accurate with just the stock metal sights. Next investment will be a decent target.Assembly was straight forward, just need to make sure that the limb assembly is centered properly. Stringing took a little effort but wasn't too much trouble.I would recommend.Update: Having fun with this thing. I would recommend the one piece pistol bolts. The aluminum and plastic are nice, heavy, and fly straight but the fletching/flights break easily. Plan on loosing a few of them.

Prepared for issues and used 7.5” bolts
I read all reviews and took note of the issues, so I added super glue to both bow ends and lightly hammer tapped the ends on. I also turned the crossbow upside down and put super glue on and around the single safety clip screw. I’m hoping all that helps prevent the same issues. I did read it’s ok to use 7.5” bolts witch I did buy see pics length and girth are bigger but fit perfectly. I also got the wax and have waxed the rails and sting. Says to do it every 20 shots. The wax is like chapstick easy to apply to the string I used a quetip for the rails. I have fired the bow 10 times so far to get the scope I added aligned. Shots good and is fun. For me this is potential silent self defense. It is recommended to replace the string every year with normal use and I did have a hard time stringing the bow and may have fraid a tiny bit I’ll have to replace the string eventually there around $10+ keep your stringing string that comes with the bow there about the same price.I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the issues I planned for should not exist and instructions should have been more clear. Item was also shipped in its own box sitting out for all to see and was not a strong or protected box at all. Good quality items should be treated as such.

This is not a toy
This is not a toy. This very powerful for its size. I didnt have much trouble assembling this crossbow. A video on youtube showed the best way to string it, and it worked. It takes some strength and leverage to cock it, but it can be done by the average person. For the price, its worth it.

No instructions
My item must've been a used item or return, because there was no instructions in the box whatsoever. I'm really disappointed because I had to go on YouTube and try to piece together and figure out how to put this thing together. After I did get it together. It seems like it's OK. It still is very difficult to use so I'm not sure that this is going to be something we would actually get any usage out of. I'm disappointed as well becauseI need the instructions to be able to make sure that safely. I constructed this correctly for safety reasons. I do not think that this is a crossbow that I'll be able to keep. I need the instructions to be able to make sure that safely. I constructed this correctly for safety reasons. I do not think that this is an crossbow that I'll be able to keep. The quality is decent at best. It doesn't feel heavy duty or high-quality. I'm just overall disappointed.

Fantastic crossbow
This crossbow is no joke and so fun. Assembly is pretty straight forward. It took me probably 5 minutes. Then sighting the crossbow in took me about 10 minutes to get it shooting how I wanted it. It shoots pretty accurately. I posted a picture of my group. I also have taken it out now and hunted rock chucks. I won’t post a picture but I will say it is very deadly and very capable of killing varmints. Also as a side note, I have purchased a cheap red dot sight and it mounted nicely to the bow and makes it even more accurate.Overall this is a great crossbow and so much fun to shoot.
