Tung oil finnish or tung oil?
Does not actually contain tung oil which is why it's called Tung Oil Finnish. It works very well and applies easily by hand, more layers more richness. I really like it!

Outside pine stairs
I've been using Minwax Tung Oil Finish for a long long time. I find it very easy to work with. Not sure it has any actual Tung Oil in it ( maybe 5%?) but doesn't matter as it certainly fits my needs.I used it on my outside ( 14) pine stairs leading up to my entry door. I live in Oregon and get 80 inches a rain a year. The finish lasted 3 years. It is NO JOY sanding my stairs to reapply. In my research I found that adding Satin Spar Urethane at 16 to 1 to the Tung Oil provides extra durability. I did this in my latest application. That formula did not hamper the easy application of the Tung Oil Finish and my finish results were the same on the pine as previously. I will probably go with 2 coats minimum and hopefully no more than 3 as that's the easy part...removing is not.

Its A Classic
I have been using this finish for decades. Keep your expectations low and the product is fantastic.

Great wood cover/conditioning product.
I’ve used it for years. Mostly as a top coat on wood furniture. I only wish it came in a smaller can as this large one will last me a long time.

Beautiful finish
I wanted to try something new. This oil went on easily and dried quickly. The fumes from the oil were not overwhelming and dissipated quickly (we were in a well ventilated area). I was surprised with how quickly it dried and how beautiful the finish looked when it was done. I will definitely use this oil again.

Excellent Refinish for Treasured Family Furniture
This is just as good a hand-rubbed finish for wood furniture as was Homer Forby's, maybe even better.

This is a tung oil varnish
For many years I used McCloskey's TungSeal to refinish furniture, but it is no longer available. Minwax Tungoil Finish is closest match I have found. It wipes on, and gives a nice hard, satin finish that is resistant to water and other spills. It should be applied in multiple thin coats as directed. I am pleased with the results I get , after years of frustration with lesser tung oil products.

Minwax Tung Oil Finish
Minwax Tung Oil "Finish" is a great product to create a good quality furniture finish - but be aware that it is not pure Tung oil, just better. I recently refinished a rifle stock that I had previously finished with pure Tung oil. A much better and more durable finish in my opinion, as well as much easier to use. Directions say a couple of coats will do the job, but 5 or more coats will really bring your finish up to top quality. Has the advantages of Tung oil in that minor scrapes can be easily repaired as in pure Tung oil, but a much better high quality
